I'm shopping on-line for a lunch box for my 2 year old who's headed to Mothers Day Out soon. I'd like to get a good one that will last a while but is also cute, eco-friendly, well insulated and a good size for her. Any suggestions?
I ordered one last spring from Pottery Barn Kids -- and was able to get her name monogrammed on it -- I love it so far!

Or, even try "bento box' type lunch boxes. Doing a Google search or search on E-bay will turn up lots.
You will need:
1) an insulated lunch sack or box
2) a lunch box container for the food.
3) A water bottle. Ideally, BPA free.
4) a "blue ice" ice pack to put in the lunch bag to keep things chilled.
5) Mark all items with a permanent "Sharpie" marker. So it does not get lost.

We use a Built bag bc it can go right into the washer. We have tried a couple others but after a cpl times of splashed milk, etc lingering for a few hours before pickup (despite warm water and soap when you get home), a smell will exist like no other.
It's nice to just toss it into the washer at the end of each week. They are also very durable as it was my lunch box for two years and our little one is now on her second year with it. :)
I ordered this one from Lands End for my 2 yo. The ziploc divided containers fit in it perfectly.

I've been pleased with the Lands End lunch box I bought for my daughter last year. It lasted all of MDO last year and we will be using it again this year.
