We just started at Tiger Mt Aquatics and they seem pretty okay. I love that it's an oxygen pool instead of chlorine.
I am looking for suggestions for swim lessons for my 5 and 3 year olds in the Issaquah, Sammamish, or Bellevue areas. My five year old knows how to stay afloat and get to the side but doesn't really know how to swim. My three year old has no fear but is starting at the beginning. Any suggestions of classes or instructors that you have used would be great. Thanks.

We have taken lessons through Issaquah Parks and Rec at the Julius Boehm pool. We have liked it there. When we first started out, the girls were somewhat fearful. We had a wonderful teacher there...Miss Chris is what they called her. She's in her late 40's I would say. I called her the swim whisperer. She would put these kids on their backs and she would whisper in their ear and you physically see them start to relax in the water. We have taken lessons for several seasons since then and enjoy them. Good luck!
I have been pleased with classes at the YMCA in Bellevue. They are eight week classes (once a week, but you can sign up for two) and the coaches (except one -- I'm not a fan of Vicky. She just doesn't seem effective at all.) have been great! My 5yo is really getting it this time, and I will be enrolling my youngest when she is three.
I have three girls and I have tried many places and the only place I have found that really taught my kids to swim was KTAP. It is a woman and her son who teach out of their home pool. She has been teaching for over 15 years and her son for over 10 years. It is a little more expensive but you will not have you kids in lessons as long because they learn quickly. It is hard to get a spot so you will need to call soon but it is well worth it. ###-###-#### Her name is Kathy...oh and the pool is really warm so the kids love it.
