Have you tried Mylicon gas relief drops? I used them for my daughter when she was younger. And now I'm using them on my infant daughter.
I've also given my older daughter (now almost a 3 year old) childrens Pepto tablets. Those seem to work too.

My daughter was the same way. The gas drops are wonderful! We also changed out regular milk for the lactose free kind and it was very helpful.
I did ease her back into cows milk over an extended period of time and she learned how to release the bubbles on her own. Since then we're all drinking the same kind (skim seems to not bother her tummy nearly as bad as the rest) and yogurts are easy on her too.

Start with the drops and see how that works. Once she figures out she can expel the gas on her own, it'll be smooth sailing. (Then you'll just need to work on the manners and reasons for "excuse me!") :)

Is she allergic to or intolerant of cows milk or something else? That'd be worth checking out.

My daughter had the same problem.. what I found out is that I was giving her too much fiber in her diet for her age. When I scaled back her fiber intake it really helped. My doctor told me that some children react differently to fiber and can't handle too much. I don't know if this is the same case for your daughter.. but something to talk to your doctor about! Good luck and I hope your little girl is feeling better soon!

First, Watch what kinds of foods you are feeding her. Certain foods make gas, like cauliflower, broccoli, beans, etc.
Second, when my daughter was really gassy I tried Little Remedies gas relief drops and they seemed to help her.

I would also check to make sure that she is using the bathroom regularly. If her bowels are irregular this can really create an upset stomach. Higher fiber foods will help to make her more regular. Blueberries, peas, pears, green beans, apricots, prunes or plums are all really high in fiber and can help. Watch to limit applesauce, bananas, and carbs (low fiber breads and pastas - white and semolina) and try to give her higher fiber items like whole wheat pasta and breads.

Good Luck!!!

We did gentle bicycle pumping of our kids legs and it helped. Sort of gently push the legs to the abdomin and stretch them out, too. The push often let's out a toot!

Does she like yogurt? I know the Activia makes a childrens yogurt that is supposed to help with tummy issues. It works for adults- maybe worth a shot.

Good luck!

Hi S.,
My 4month old has had the same problem. We give her Mylicon drops (over the counter) which seems to have helped a lot.
We also used Gripe Water with our 2 year old when she was a baby.
I have also stopped drinking soda which I beleive helps her too since I nurse her. Very hard to do, but she's doing much better.
Also, you can lay her down and roll her legs back up towards her tummy. This will help to press out any gas in her tummy.
Oh, and I stopped drinking cow's milk. It seemed to hurt her tummy and possibly give her gas. Either way, she's been better since I stopped drinking it. Now I drink Lactose Free Soymilk. At least it's chocolate!
HTH,
M.
