My newly 7-yr old just lost his fourth tooth on the top row and none of them have grown in. Fortunately I can just see his two center teeth starting to come in, but sheesh, I can't figure out how he eats! Is this totally weird, or has anyone else seen this in their kids? He lost the bottom two as well, but the permanent ones had grown in beforehand, so there was never a "space". It's pretty darn funny, but I've never seen this before.
@Bri's Momma - It's funny you mentioned missing permanent teeth because both my twin sister and I are missing our first bottom molars. But my son has had x-rays and does indeed have all of his permanent teeth. They just seem to be taking a long while to come in. I definitely took pictures and he hasn't missed a beat since all of his teeth have disappeared. One advantage is that he stopped biting his nails! Haha!
My daughter had all four top teeth and two missing on the bottom...all at the same time. Basically she just had her bottom two middle teeth in the front. She looked like a jack o lantern. Hysterically funny.
I wish I could post a picture of my daughter in her Easter picture right before she started Kindergarten. She had no teeth from eye tooth to eye tooth both top and bottom. She didn't get teeth for almost 6 months.
yeah, my teeth took forever to come in after my baby teeth finally fell out.. i had all kinds od spaces n random teeth here n there for a long time.. i will say this though, if you think they are taking unusually long to come in maybe ask a dentist for xrays.. one of my neighbors twins is actually missing- yes missing, as in, just arent there- 4 adult teeth.. 2 in the back (one on each side) on the bottom- which really isnt such a big deal, and also her top canine teeth.. shes goign to be seeing an orthodonitist for quite a long time, her twin sister is going to be getting her braces off in 6 months and she still hasnt gotten hers yet, poor kids mouth is just a mess, she needs fake teeth put in to replace her canines but they cant do it until shes 16yrs old =/

Normal.. and yes, sometimes it feels like it takes a long time for them o come in.. Make sure to get some photos.. I love those pictures..
Interesting, they usually fall out in the order they came in..
