I know that this has been asked before...but I can't find the request! We received a Fisher Price Little People set from someone. I bleached the people, and didn't realize that they had a hole in the bottom. So, they all have some water inside. Any tips (other than shaking them violently!) on how to get them dried on the inside so they don't become moldy?
My neighbor just puts them in the dryer with towels or something like that and she said it works like a charm.
I dont have a suggestion on getting the water out, but I do suggest getting the Clorox or Lysol cleaning wipes and clean the toys this way so you dont have the water issue again. These also work great with the large toys that are to big or a pain to take apart to soak.
To the person who wrote that we should put Fisher Price Little People in the dryer with some towels - no! I read this advise earlier today, tried it. Bad idea! The paint on the little people softened, and as they hit the sides of the dryer, the paint got seriously dinged. Now all my little people are damaged. Sorry, but bad, bad advice.
I have done that before. Since it has water in the bttom try shaking out what you can of the excess water and then use a blow dryer on medium heat to evaporate the rest. It takes a little bit but it works and kids love to help. My daughter would hold the blowdryer and she loved it. It might be worth a try so the toys don't get ruined. :)

I've heard people that have had success in drawing water out of things by putting them in a ziploc bag with rice kernels (I've heard people use this to "cure" a cell phone that was dropped in water... no kidding!).
Maybe try using a blow dryer to blow warm/hot air into the holes of the little people?
ohh dear --- great question, J.--- try putting them in a WARM ( not hot) oven-- like a 200 degree oven-- -and turn the oven off as soon as you put the toys in the oven--- and put 'em in -- sitting on a bath-towell--- I'd guess that an hour or so in that dry - warm oven would do it--

Well - I personally don't have the little people.. so i'm guessing you'll have other replies with what has worked on those little guys...
but my suggestion is to make the little hole on the bottom BIGGER so the water will drain out. I have done this with other similar toys. I usually use a sharp knife.. but a drill would likely work if you have a small bit and steady hand. :) or a helpful hubby.
