My son is almost 2 and very, very busy guy. He is Always running, and jumping, climbing and playing. You get the picture. Anyways, since it's free shipping day online, i'd like to get him some new toys.

I dont want to get him something that he will play with for like 2 seconds and then run off so, What kind of toys are your active toddlers loving these days?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

The five best toys of all time - stick, box, cardboard tube, dirt and string. Your son may be too young for string right now.

What about a small trampoline or an indoor bouncy house?

Gordmans has a fold up tunnel for $9

A big "doll house" to play inside, open windows and doors

A Climber cube thingy

A Slide (Indoor) and a swing

A Trampoline

A Ball ramp / car ramp

A Ball pit or sand pit

Beams to walk on.. They are plastic rectangles that are connected by rope, you make a path and he walks on the beam for balance.

Shopping cart to push around (Load it with heavy toys or books for extra power push)

Good luck

What about a trike? My toddler LOVES to ride his walker/trike but he has outgrown it. We're getting him a Fisher-Price Rock, Roll 'n Ride Trike XL soon. Check it out on Amazon.

What toy you should get depends on what your toddler already likes. Does he like wheeled toys? Does he like animation film characters (Pixar)? Think Shake n' Go. Also would he like obstacle courses and tunnels like Playhut? They are good with toddlers but probably aren't as durable when the kids get bigger.

I understand about the 2-second factor, hehehe. We bought a Fisher Price laptop for ours and he played with it for a grand total of 1 1/2 days!

I live in an apartment-- but trust me a bouncy horse is TOTALLY worth the space it takes-- got it for him for Christmas when he was 23 months (we got ours for $35 on craigslist) ours looks like this http://tinyurl.com/7oxeahw
burns lots of ENERGY and cuts WAY down on the bed jumping and bouncing on the furniture! We've had it for two years and it STILL gets ridden at least once a day!

I'd just play with them. That's cheaper than a toy they will only play with for a few seconds.
