Transition from Formula to Cow's Milk.

The switch was pretty easy for us except he will only drink milk slightly warmed. Formula he would drink cold, warm, etc., but cow's milk has to be warmed or he takes two sips and hands it back to me. We also switched to sippy cups at the same time; he was already drinking water and juice from sippy cups, but would only take formula from a bottle. We do have to use a different type of sippy cup for milk though - for juice and water any sippy cup works for him, but for milk is has to be a sippy cup with a soft spout (similiar to the bottle nipples).

What your thoughts are is exactly what I did.

I started off with 50/50 - and if it makes your daughter consitpated, then start off with 75% formula/25% milk...gradually you will be adding more milk than formula.
I also fed my children more fruit (applesauce or peaches) to counter act the milk. Eventually your daughters body will get acclamated to the cows milk.

i gave my son formula at night and cows milk in the day to make sure everything was ok and not needing lactoce free and i did this for about 2 weeks giving him more cows milk each day i wouldnt mix the 2 together though

Yep. That's how we did it. Just gradually added mild to the formula. It helped to keep using a bottle until we had completely made the transition, so it wasn't changing the food AND the way she ate it at the same time.

You've got it, though...I think it will be fine!

my daughter would not take straight milk first, so we had to do 3/4 formula and 1/4 milk and gradually get to 100% milk. After 2 weeks she was on straight milk and loves it. She did really protest against the milk at 1st. I think switching from bottle to sippy cup was harder.

Transition the formula to cow's milk just as you did breastmilk. I did and it went over very well.

We ran out of formula the day before our daughter turned 1 so we just gave her cow's milk instead of buying another can of formula. We didn't have any problems switching her over to cow's milk. My daughter wouldn't drink her formula cold but she drinks cow's milk cold.

you know mine didnt need any transition just try giving your child the whole milk and see what happens :)
