Trip to Baltimore?

We will be in Baltimore for a few days in May for our daughter's graduation. We've visited a couple of other times, and so far, we've seen Ft. McHenry, ridden the water taxis, spent the day at the aquarium, wandered the Inner Harbor and Fells Point area, and we've also been to DC (way back in 2003). We were wondering what other things might be nice to do in that area? It will be adults.... hubby and I, daughter and her hubby, and my brother (no one under 30).

Any other suggestions on what to do in the Baltimore/North DC area for a one-day outing on Monday? (We get in Saturday, have activities on Sunday, convocation Tuesday morning, and fly back to Texas Tuesday evening.

What can I do next?

ETA: The Udvar-Hazy Museum in Chantilly - that's a good idea!! Cost for parking is $14 and entrance into the museum is free. Take 495 to Dulles Toll Road, exit Route 28. Or you can take the 495 to the 66 to the 28...

A One day outing? Depends upon how much time you have...and how tired you will be from the travel and where you are staying...how you are getting around and the like...

There is a TON to do at the Inner Harbor....depending upon when you are here and you like baseball - catch an Orioles game...

There is the Spy Museum - it's NOT free and you should make reservations...

The Mall is always fun....there are new exhibits and such. If you are here Memorial Day weekend - Rolling Thunder comes through....it's a WOW thing!!

If you are staying in BWI - I would stick with the inner harbor - go to Bertha's for some sea food...

Travel over to Annapolis and tour the Naval Academy grounds....

If you tell me what you like to do - I would be able to help out more!

Have fun~!

If you like zoos Baltimore has a pretty good one. Different animals than those at National Zoo in DC. There is an entrance fee but I enjoy it very much and go about once a year. It's not near the harbor but a bit further north in the city. Congrats to your daughter!

I'm going to go with my typical answer to anything in this area...go to National Harbor. It's probably an hour or so from Inner Harbor, maybe not even that long. It's a new "town" (for lack of a better word) and it's gorgeous. Lots of unique little shops, amazing restaurants, beautiful water front. There is a night scene there if you are looking for that, a few nicer bars with dancing sometimes.

Just drive around. I love to see the downtown or urban areas of towns that have been gentrified.
