Hi G..
I'm so sorry. We've been trying for our first for almost 2 years as well with failed inseminations too.
Do you have a diagnosis? Most REs don't test for a whole lot of basic things like thyroid issues and other endocrine problems. don't let the name fool you, reproductive endocrinologist are not endocrinologist, they're obygns. So if you haven't had your pituitary and thyroid check, start there. If either of those things are not working properly, no amount of IUI or IVF will work. Also, have they talked you about the thickness of your uterus? There are so many little things that doctors ignore until your in so deep. And it might have been a simple fix. Not to say that it always is, but some times it can be.
I have been using acupuncture and it seems to be improving things. Sadly, we had an early miscarriage a couple of months ago, but it was the first time we even got close. I have tried several other things that I think are very helpful and can help anyone. Polarity therapy, homoepathics, yoga and eating whole foods. Seems so simple, but I feel huge changes in myself.
You might want to read the book Inconceivable. it's a quick read. And I felt it was inspirational.
Also, if you haven't already been - there’s a great group call Resolve. They are a great resource for those of us struggling with infertility. http://www.resolve.org/ They have support groups, doctor information and chat support.
