Hi H.,

About four years ago my husband, daughter and I went to Seattle on business. We tried while we were there for the summer to conceive, but to no avail. We were there all summer, then returned home and about a month later we found out I was preggo. My advice to you is come back to Wichita!
Apparently Seattle is not the place to succeed with such things!! lol Just kidding... :)

Seriously though, just relax!! Keep doing what you're doing... that's the fun part! Enjoy the time with your husband and soon enough you'll be expecting. I wouldn't worry about it too much just yet. I know it's frustrating, but hang in there.

God bless, ls

Good Morning H., I know this is a day late, but anyway :) If you have been on birth control for a while it can take a while for your system to go back to "Normal" with hormone changes etc.
Have fun practicing, don't put more pressure on yourselves to become preggers. Relax and just enjoy each other. It will happen in due time. After I stopped Birth control years ago it took me a little over a year to become preggers, so relax H.. I used the temperature route, etc to see when I was ovulating. That got to be so impersonal and put alot of stress on us both. Once I relaxed and stopped with the temp stuff and just went on our merry way, it worked out fine.

God Bless you & your hubby with a precious bundle of Joy in His time.

Keep trying! That's the fun part any way and it won't happen after the baby comes. ;) My husband and I were very fortunate because it took us a short time to get pregnant, but my sister took 4 years to get pregnant and now has 2 beautiful girls (4 and 2). As you can tell the second took much less time. Through supporting her, I learned that most OBGYNs will not doing anything to help you get pregnant until you have been trying for at least a year. I believe the statistics say that a very high percentage of people get pg in the first year of trying. It is just very important to have a very close relationship with your doctor. I am sure that you feel like it is taking forever, but just hang in there. Not to discount your feelings, but 5 months actually isn't that long, so just keep trying! Lots of baby luck to you!

Have you been diagnosed as having PCOS? This is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. If you have this it may take awhile to get pregnant. Please find a good OB doctor (who has experience with PCOS) and schedule a preconception visit. There are simple medications and techniques that can help. After you meet with them try not to stress to much about it, but just keep "practicing".
