Periods can be off for lots of reasons besides pregnancy.
See what the doctor says about it.
As many of you know I had my last baby by c-section in august 2013 and had a tubal ligation. My body been kinda weird. I think around 5 weeks after I had him I thought I had my "period".(lasted 4 days) 6 days later I started bleeding again. By that time I had my 6 week appointment. Doctor went ahead and gave me the depo birth control shot. He said that should help stop the bleeding. Nurse told me I probably wouldn't have a period for the first 3 months. Next day the bleeding stop. 2 days later i had spotting. This went off and on til February. Had my bleeding(period) each month. Mid February it stopped.(bleeding and spotting) I was supposed tl start my period for march and I'm 4 days late. Took 2 pregnancy test and both came out negative. My mom think my hormones are wacked out from that birth control shot. Of couse I'm thinking the worst and thinking I'm having a tubal pregnancy. Lol. Anyway I have a doctors appointment april 2nd. I been having off and on cramping(kinda like period is coming) for 5 or 6 days. I never went back to the doctor with the spotting or breakthrough bleeding because the side effects match that of the depo shot. Thoughts??? I'm 28 years old, if anyone is wondering.
Updated: Period was exactly one week late and finally came. lol.

My periods get wonky in the several months after delivering a baby. After #3 I went from having every 28 days to 25-31 day cycles. I am currently 6 months postpartum and my cycles are, once again, off, even though I didn't breastfeed at all with this baby. I use a Clear Blue Fertility monitor and my last 2 cycles I haven't even ovulated.
Everyone's different, but for most of us our cycles change as we age.
I had a Tubal 2 years ago. For about a year I stressed that I was pregnant on a monthly basis. Which is crazy. I stopped tracking my periods. I am regular and know around the time they should come. Four days is really nothing to worry about. Especially with the issues you've described. I wouldn't worry unless you feel pregnant or have unexplained pain. In the mean time, stress could keep your period out of whack. Calm down and relax. :)
I had my tubes tied at my 3rd C-Section 6 years ago. My cycles were a mess and even worse. Found out almost 3 years ago I have fibroids, and that caused the cramping. My Dr put me on a birth control pill and I have never been happier. I hardly ever get a period. My complexion is good (I had adult acne). You will feel relieved once you see your Dr. Good Luck! You will be just fine!
