Tucked in or Let Them Be Bent?

My sons ears with a baseball cap? My son has wide floppy ears (I love them and they are sooo soft!). But when he puts a baseball cap on they end up getting folded over and bent (and stick out worse) or we tuck them into his hat and has a big gap in the hat b/c of his ears being in the way.

He has pictures tomorrow for his baseball team and I am unsure which way to let his ears to be? Bent and folded over from the cap sitting on this head and ears outside the cap or tuck his ears into the cap?

How to handle?? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I think it is soooo cute when their ears stick out but he has to be comfortable in his skin. If I were you I would ask him which he prefers. :)

Oh so the hat pushes them down? Still let him choose. Maybe he likes to sport the fold.

Back in the 80s and 90s, boys never tucked in their ears to a baseball cap - no matter the size of the ears.

Sometime more recently, it became acceptable (at least in my corner of the world) as I see more young boys unabashadly tucking ears - either in an actual baseball uniform, or out at the mall.

I recommend tucking - as long as he's not the sole tucker. :)

Us guys that needed to grow into our ears generally HATE seeing those pictures from our youth where it looks like we could fly off in a strong breeze. :)

Ahahahahaha!
Totally brings back mems of my boys and little league days.
I have some pictures of them with the ears sticking out and some with the ears tucked in.
I'd put him in front of the mirror and let him decide.
Maybe one tucked and one out would make a great kodak moment, depending on your sense of humor that is.
Regardless of what you ultimately decide, 20 years from now when you open the album and look at the pictures you will get choked up ;) and smile.

Take a picture at home of each way. You or your son can decide what way looks best!

Sounds like his hat is too big? Can he get a smaller hat that fits better?

I like 'em tucked in, but others are right -- let him decide. :)

Ask him what he wants. Or what is more comfortable for him.

My husband and I discussed this and came up with an option.

Purchase some of those round Velcro tabs. Place one on top behind each ear. Place he others peice of Velcro on the outside portion of the hat. Then he can Velcro them together. The ear I'll not stick out and his hat will not fly off.

My nephew had this same exact problem when younger. I looked back at photos and his ears are out, later they were tucked. He is in class so he cannot answer my text.. To give his suggestion..
