First off, congrates!!!
I have a 3yr old son and twin girls that are three months old. I'm not yet as experienced as some of these other moms, so the best I can say is accept as much help as you can. The first 2-4 weeks was the hardest, and although it's still hard, it is slowly getting easier. My mom stayed here for about 2 months helping me with all three kids. But to be honest she just really wanted to be with her grandchildren (she lives in WI).
Don't worry about the house being spotless. I'm still not in the swing of things yet. I don't cook every night like I used to, and my daily chores around the house has been getting slacked on a bit. But as the girls get less needy of me then things will come back to normal.
And I don't know if you are planning on FF, or BF, and whatever you chose is great, but if you want to BF don't let people tell you that you can't BF twins, b/c yes you can. I am exclusivly BF both of my twins and it's going great. I was told by everyone I knew when I was preggo that I wouldn't be able to do it, and I shouldn't even try. It was hard in the beginning, but now we've got a good flow with it. So if you want to do it, then go for it, b/c yes you can nurse twins. Now if you don't want to do it, then that's fine too, whatever works for you and your babies. I just want to speek from my experiences.
Oh....
And be prepared for being treated like a celeb or somehting. B/C anytime we go out with them and ppl realize we have twins, we get a swarm of ppl wanting to look and coo at them ,and ask you a bunch of questions. Most of the time it's no big deal, but I have head from some other moms of twins some crazy stories.
GL!
