J.M.
I like McKenzie but not McKenlee. Both M names sounds good but these sound too similar, easy to confuse.
Thanks for all the help. I have the names below sorry if yours didnt get picked they are..
Elise Rose
and
Morgan Lee
(lee is my middle name)

Sienna and Shelby. :)
Added: Oops, I started with what Jo said! Porche and Audi or Lexus (Lexi). Not the same first letter, but cute.
Well we have a Mazda and a Subaru made the same year, sorta the same thing, right?
:)
How about Lincoln and Mercury and continue the car names?
Oh, girls Porsche and Audi?
What about Camry, Avalon or Kia, or Sienna etc.
Car names.
McKenzie and McKenlee... no.

Welcome to mamapedia!!
Your other kids are named after cars - Mercedes and Bentley. But you don't want to carry this tradition with the twins? Like Shelby and Carroll (the first name of the guy who designed the Shelby)? Or even Sierra and Shelby?
Good luck and congratulations!
Pretty names, but I wonder if they are too similar?
What other names are on your list, so I can get a feel for what type of names you like?
Emmy (or Emmie, Emme) and Ella?
McKenzie Alyse and Madeline Renee?
I'm voting for
- Lincoln & Shelby. (Boy girl)
- Lincoln & Aston (boy boy)
- Elise & Shelby (girl girl)
But if they must match:
Lincoln & Lexie* (boy girl)
Aston & Martin (boy boy)
Elise & Eleanor* (girl girl)
* Im taking some liberties with girl names. Lexie instead of Lexus, and Eleanor as the classic movie Shelby. Elise, of course, is the Lotus model name.
Mackenzie and Maclan.
congrats :)
Molly and Meredith-those would have been mine if I'd carried to term with mine :)
I have twin girls, and have to say that McKenzie and McKenlee are just too similar. Your girls are going to be confused with one another their entire lives, no need to make it even worse. Besides - when you yell for one of them they're both going to have to listen real hard to see who it is you want since the first two syllables are the same.
Don't pick such matchey matchey names... and if you can resist, don't do the first letter the same either. It will make life easier for your kids.
Congrats!!! I was thinking for car names
Elise Marie
Esprite Rose
Or for none car names
Lilly Rose
Leila Marie
Mackenzie (regardless of how you spell it) is beautiful. It is of Scottish origin & means "comely, the fair one" ie. beautiful.
A good friend of mine has a name that would partner well -
Michaela (pronounced Mick-kayla), she goes by Kaela.
It is of Hebrew origin, the feminine form of Michael, & means "who is like God"
middle names with more extravagant first names I always prefer simple, like Rose & Sue.
Mackenzie Rose
Michaela Sue
I love picking out names (I name my dogs extravagantly, & was asked by my sister/BIL to help name my niece!). I suggest you go to baby name sites & look up names you like the sound of, & then look @ their meanings to find ones you really truly love. Try different ethnic origins also.
And congrats on your twin pregnancy!! Praying for happy healthy perfect babies. T.
Oohh, too close! Try something where the first 3 or 4 letters are different because that's about as far as you get sometimes, calling their name.
Mck and mck wouldnt work. I have a friend who named all three of her kids with a k sound who now claims she would NEVER do that again!
How about Mckenzie and Kelly? Do you like Irish names?
Do you have to be so matchy matchy? Are they boys or girls? Mercury is a boys name. Morgan and Elise and the best names it it doesn't look like you are trying too hard.
I don't really like cutsey alike names for twins. We have a few pair in the family. Tim and Tom were the only cutsey. We have a Quinn and tanner, patti and Mary. We have neighbors that named their twins jazzmarie and jazzmin-they are in first grade with my daughter and none of my kids can keep their names straight.
I would try to find two names that you like that aren't cutsey. Your other kids aren't named Mcallister and mc-I'm running out of mc names here.....
Mary Ann
and
Susan Marie
Start thinking about them as individuals now.
They are merely arriving at more or less the same time.
I think you will find yourself calling them the wrong names a LOT if you have names that close together. I like McKenzie a lot (but would spell it Mackenzie), also Madeline, as another poster suggested. I'd probably give them both the same middle name: Rose. My boys all have the same middle name, and my daughters (if I ever have any) will have the same middle name as each other.
So, in short: Mackenzie Rose and Madeline Rose
or instead of Rose, Renee is nice
I would not make the names sound so much alike, or have them rhyme. it will only cause them grief and confusion when they get older. They are twins, but they are also individuals and need to have their own identity from each other, having too similar names could make that harder.
Love the names! Especially Elise Rose. Blessings on your new life as a family.
