My husband and I have been TTC since May, I'm 37 years old, my periods are irregular. Example (30 days, 31days, 32 days, 33 days 34 days) We decide in October to stop trying. So November comes and goes, normal period(Nov.9th), not tracking ovulation or anything. at this point figure it's not working. If i calculate by the last period at 34 days apart i should expect one on Sunday (Dec.12th)
Meanwhile the past two weeks, i have had heightened sense of smell, accompanied by Nasal congestion, sneezing and clear runny nose, post nasal drip off and on all day every day, increased vaginal discharge (TMI: I know), low back pain, fireworks in the lower right section of my abdomen, nauseous (but not throwing up yet), headaches, frequent urination, bloating(is an understatement), fastest six pounds i ever put on, never been 170 in my life, temp up from 97.6 all the time to 98.3 or more, still less than 99, cravings, I'm a health nut, the diet police, but my cravings are unusual for me , may be normal some PMS women, chocolate, ice ream, sweet & salty together, normally i would think bleh! . My daughter (3) has been especially clingy and 95% of the time a Daddy's girl, lately it's all about me,(I'm actually Loving this part). Breast are not sore but tingly like crazy all the time. my face is breaking out everyday like a teenage girl, have always had glowing complexion make-up free, and seems like the hair on my body is growing double time, starting to think I'm part werewolf. Literally can shave in the morning and have stubble before bed, or vice versa...(crazy i tell you)
so far the e.p.t. HPT is negative, my body says all systems are go...by the time i press enter, i guess i will only have 24-48 hours until a missed period. Mostly i was just curious about the different than usual type of symptoms...???
If the ept turns out to be negative, I'd talk with my doctor. I suggest you have too many symptoms for this to be a pregnancy. And some are symptoms of other conditions. The nasal congestion etc.could be relate to the weather and/or increased use of scents for the holiday season. The one that caught my eye is increased hair growth and appearance of acne. It made me think of polycystic ovary syndrome. It does sound like your hormones may be off kilter. Have you talked with a doctor about fertility issues?
You also may be extra sensitive and noticing things because you want so badly to be pregnant. If you haven't talked with a fertility doctor, I'd do so now so that you can possibly correct any hormone issues that you might have and not be so anxious.

Many of those do sound like they could possibly be pregnancy symptoms, but there is no way to know for sure if they could be symptoms of something completely different. Even the ones that seem off, I've known people to have them while pregnant. For example, my cousin who is not an allergy sufferer was very congested and constantly sneezing during the whole first and second trimesters. I don't want to get your hopes up for nothing though, I'd take a pregnancy test in 2 days and if negative then another test in another couple of days. If still negative, then I'd see the doctor about all of the symptoms. Good luck! Crossing my fingers that you are indeed pregnant.

Crossing my fingers for you that you get a positive EPT, many of these do sound like pregnancy symptoms. If you don't, Marda is right - please follow up with the doctor. Ovarian cysts can cause many of these same symptoms, and if they are large enough to cause symptoms they will likely need to be treated medically. Good luck.

I think it might be a little early to experience those pregnancy symptoms. I did gain weight right way with my first (which is what prompted me to take a HPT, I gained a pound a day for a week with no change in diet) but everything else (like the breakouts, heightened sense of smell, etc.) appeared at about 8 weeks.

So my husband had a Vsec and I would say 3 out of 12 months I have thought I was pregnant. All these symptoms and then 4 days past when my period should be it finally comes. I get the whole pregnancy gamut and it is only PMS.
I do hope you are pregnant. I also hope that some of this lets up for you. Too many at one time can wear you out. Feel better soon.
