Something to consider is having it at Bouncetown in Oswego. It's a big warehouse type place that has about 8-9 different moonjumps for the kids to jump in. I know they host birthday parties, too. Their website is www.bouncetownparty.com.
My daughter is turning 9 next month and we are in need of some fun UNIQUE ideas for places to have a birthday party. Being that her birthday is in April, it seems that all of the ideas have been exhausted for her class already and she doesn't want to duplicate one that she's been to already (God forbid!!).This weekend we are attending a rock climbing and swimming party at the Centre in Elgin, we had a skating one last weekend and a Libby Liu-ish one the week before. We have also had an ice skating, a movies, a bowling and a bead one so far this year.....not to mention numerous slumber parties. It MUST be someplace I can go as I am not doing another party here and we are inviting at least 10 kids.....any ideas or suggestions appreciated.
Thanks for all of the great ideas....we have actually booked a Go Kart racing party at Funway in Batavia...should be fun!!!

Have you thought about a pottery painting party? I go to Pottery Bayou on the Riverwalk in Naperville. I even think they do traveling parties. Something like $10 per person?
If there is a pottery painting place, I've heard that can be fun.
Or if she is into ecology, maybe you could do something with them that is good for the environment? Like helping clean up a local park or forest preserve, etc?
A lot of cultures use their birthdays to "give back" to the earth... that might appeal to her and be VERY different from what her friends are doing (and I'm sure she would still get gifts!) and maybe boost her self-esteem in the process! Besides, you could always order pizzas afterwards :)

PS- How about paintball or lasertag?
Hiya...
We once went to a birthday party where they had a party bus. He parked right in front of the house and he had games, snacks, drinks, prizes....the kids really loved it and he was great.
