I am just wondering if anyone here has used the Clearblue Easy Fertility System? I have have struggled with endometriosis since I was 19. I have just stopped the pill, after being on it since 19 yo age, which I took continuously for period supression to protect my fertility. I have had Lupron injections, and one laser removal surg. End of last year I think my body had enough of the pill and I bleed for 2 months and had to have a D&C with hysteroscopy. I had "Disruptive Proliferative Endometrium" per the biopsy. After the D&C I took 3 rounds of pills to reset my hormones and now at the age of 31 I am having regular periods again since the age of 19.

I bought a Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor System and I am wondering how it has worked for other moms. Any tips?

What can I do next?

I went through fertility problems as well. I can tell you that those systems sometimes work, the problem is we depending too much on them and get too stressed out and too disappointed when it doesn;t work that it actually makes it harder for us to get pregnant. If you just got off of the pill I would suggest taking an easy and relax. If after 5mths or more you don't get pregnant then think about the alternatives. The best way to get pregnant is to have fun and not spend so much time concentrating on getting pregnant. Good luck

I was diagnosed with PCOS last year--have always had irregular cycles, usually 6-8 wks between periods. So I bought the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor since I never know when to expect my period & couldn't predict ovulation. I got pregnant the first month I used it! Very easy to use & I loved it. I bough mine on ebay...much cheaper. You can also get boxes of the sticks on ebay, also cheaper. GL!!

I don't have endometriosis, but I have two very good friends that do--both have had successful pregnancies, but not with a lot of work.
My first friend used the ovulation kits with both of her sons, but it took a long time--two years with each, and she had multiple miscarriages trying. But she did it without any fertility treatments.
My second friend also tried the ovulation kits with no pregnancies, they then tried artificial insemination without results and then finally in vitro. The In virtro finally worked, but they have tried again since then, and have not had a success.

Regardless though, both of them did become pg--but with a lot of work and patience. So talk to your Dr. and see what options are. Depending on your age, they will recommend the ovulation monitor for at least 6 months and then take the next step (which is usually fertility drugs to help you produce more eggs).
As far as the ovulation kit--just make sure you guys have frequent sex right when you see your surge! You've got about a 72 hour window there--Oh yeah, and don't forget to have fun! No need to take that out of the baby making process--at least not yet!
Good luck!

Mornin', L.~ I have not used the fertility system, but wanted to respond to give you some encouragement. I too have endometreosis (for almost 10 yrs now), 3 laser removals, a D&C, was on the depo shot for a few years, etc. Granted, I haven't reached the stage requiring Lupron, but I had absolutely no problem getting pregnant. I was pregnant within 3 months of trying and I now have a gorgeous 4 month old daughter. So, there is hope that it won't be too difficult for you to concieve. I wish you the best of luck, it's the most rewarding experience ever!!

I love that thing! I used the monitor for my first pregnancy (which ended with a miscarriage) and for my second (I have a 3 year old boy). Because I was always so irregular, especially after my D&C, trying to have a baby became such a chore for my husband and I that it took all the fun out of the trying. The monitor helped us figure out when to try and when to just have fun.
I then let a friend borrow the monitor and she was able to conceive a little girl after having an ectopic pregnancy and had to have one of her tubes removed. She ended up ovulating at day one hundred and something, which she would have had no way of knowing if it wasn't for the monitor.
My two cents: worth the investment. I now have two healthy little boys (and I'm done) yet I still have my monitor just in case we change our minds and decided to have another.

I don't remember which brand I used but I used of them. we decided december 07 to stop using b/c. I got my pd in January and was bummed. Since I was 35 I didn't want to waste any time so I got the monthly kit - where you pee on the strip daily. So I found our "ovluation day" in my cycle and we "went for it" but I got my pd again in February ... but then, since you're supposed to be best off "going for it" just prior to ovulation, that's what we did. We got pregnant that attempt! So I swear by it and tell all my friends who want to get pregnant to use an ovulation predictor kit. Now I have a beautiful 4 month boy! :-) Good LUCK!

L., it sounds like you have had such a hard time, but I am glad that you are finally having regular periods. I have never had regular periods, but I have never been diagnosed with anything in particular. It took my husband and I about 8 years to conceive our one and only daughter, Epiphany. She is now a little over 2 years old. Anyway, the way we were finally successful is by using a combination of methods consistently for 7 cycles. I prayed; I took my basal body temperature every morning and charted my fertility cycle; I regularly checked my cervical mucus and observed when I had good "eggwhite" mucus; and I used the Clearblue fertility monitor. The monitor was a very important part of our conception success. Over time it always identified my "peak" fertility days, unless I had an anovular cycle, which my temperature charting would tell me. It is very important to have intercourse a day or two before your "Peak" readings, however, because we are especially fertile three days before ovulation and the day of ovulation. Sorry if you knew all this already. I guess the short answer to your request is that the fertility monitor worked well for me as one of my fertility identifiers. Two resources I have found helpful are www.fertilityfriend.com and Tony Weschler's book - Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It took so long to finally have our daughter, that I have great empathy for all who have tough times with their fertility. I wish you well.

I had no type of medical problems. I used the Clearblue easy fertility monitor to get pregnant with my first daughter. I got pregnant the 2nd month using it, miscarried and then got pregnant the following month. I am currently 30 weeks pregnant with baby #2. My husband asked that we not use the monitor this time around because he felt to much pressure last time. It took us 8 months to get pregnant with this little girl. I highly recommend the monitor. It takes all of the guesswork out of things. Good luck!

L., I used the the clearblue fertility monitor for a few months and it never really gave me a clear indication i was ovulating. I know the directions do say it takes a few months for the monitor to recognize your cycle, and my periods were irregular. So after a year of trying to get pregnant with the monitor and trying to count my days etc, i decided to buy the clear blue ovulation sticks. I used them everyday for a month (since my periods were irregular) and when it said i was ovulating we did our thing and boom 4 weeks later i took a pregnancy test and i was pregnant! I have heard some good reviews on the monitor but its pretty expensive and i think the sticks worked better and quicker. So good Luck!
