Vacation in Florida

I don't know anything about cocoa beach but I love Florida!!! Destin is a beautiful beach and Miami is just fun. I've heard Sarasota was amazing. We are going this summer as a family vacation. Have fun!

Hi, I live in Florida and go to Cocoa beach a few times per year (a couple other beachs are closer) - anyway, Cocoa is not my favorite. There is a bar called Coconuts that is fun and they have live music and stuff - If you don't already have reservations....I would recommend going somewhere on the west coast of FL - the beaches are SOOOOOO much prettier - the water is CLEAR and just so nice. I would reccomend St Pete Beach (the Sirata Beach Resort is wonderful) or Captiva Island... and I have heard Destin is beautiful, I want to go there but that is about 6 hours away (I am in Central FL) Honestly the beaches close to central FL on the East Coast, the water is murky I mean it's nice just .... I love the clear blue water - once you go further sound down to Ft Lauderdale/Miami the water starts getting bluer & clearer. Have fun whatever you chose:-)

I only went to one beach when I went to Florida and unfortunately picked Cocoa beach. Not sure if it was the time of year or what but YUCK! The water left a nasty film on us when we got out and the beach itself wasn't very nice. I much prefer our beaches and will not be visiting any beaches there on our trip this year.

Cocoa Beach isn't so bad although there are prettier places to visit. We stay north of there at New Smyrna Beach and it is a wonderful place for families.

Ahhhh I'm in Fort Lauderdale and think our water is not so "pretty" either...I would also recommend the west coast soooo much prettier!!! CB is ok...they have a lot of mom and pop kind of places...Any time I've been there it's with a kid in tow....I'm sorry I could not be of too much help....

I've not been to Cocoa Beach.

We love Florida. We go to Sandestin yearly....BEAUTIFUL place, beach, etc but very family oriented.

I LOVE South Beach in Miami. This is an adult playground. Beaches are not as pretty as Destin but there is a lot for couples to do. I love that place and visit as often as possible.

FYI....You do have to be pretty open minded to go there.
