I waited until 2 with my son and might wait until 3 with my daughter. Too many reported issues with it and the diseases it prevents are rare.
Has anyone waited a few months to do the MMR shot for there child??

You do not have to do any vaccine on "schedule". Research and know what you are doing before you put anything in to your child that you are unsure about. Research the disease and the vaccine. Then make your choice. You don't have to rush in to anything.
it has been three years for my wins. I might bight the bullet this year or i found a dr that will do the three separately but I need to do more research and fine the number.

After my youngest got his first shot of MMR, I discovered my oldest had autism. I still have lots of research to do yet, but talked to my dr. and decided to wait for 2nd shot til my youngest was 5, and at that point would have separate measles, mumps and rubella shots spread out (an article I read said that if the vaccines were given individually at different times, the risk was less). You may have to forwarn your drs. office if you choose to go this route as my dr. said they would have to make a special order for the separate vaccines. Good luck!

I am currently only giving one shot at time to my youngest. I make nurse appointments every few months.

I am not sure when you are suppose to do it, but I spaced that one out so that he got it alone without any other shots at his 18 month appointment....
I didn't wait but now wish I would have after doing some research on possible causes of eczema in children and found that it may be linked to the MMR shot. I had eczema as a child also so it could just be genetic but if I had known that the shot could be a trigger I would have waited.
