Vacuum - Lewisville,TX

Can anyone recommend a good vacuum? Thinking about getting a dyson, but want to make sure I get the right one if I'm spending so much money. Anywhere I can go to get a deal on a good vacuum that will last. Seems like I get a new vacuum every year, eureka, Hoover, usually something cheaper. Thanks for your help and have a great holiday!

I quit buying the cheaper vacs when mine kept breaking too. I finally bought a Oreck 13 years ago and still use it. It works very well. I also bought a Kirby about 3 years ago and love it. I like them both for different reasons. The only thing I don't like about the Oreck is if something gets sucked up that's too big, it jams up the whole thing where as the Kirby, it's very easy to take apart and clean out the jam, piece of cake! The down side to the Kirby is they are Sooooo heavy. I also looked at Dyson's before buying the Kirby, but I read so many mixed reviews. My aunt has had the pet one for 5 years and loves hers.

i have had an oreck xl for almost 9 years, i love that thing! it was my primary vac for about 6 years. when we moved into our current house, we also got a dyson ball animal. i use the oreck upstairs and on the stairs themselves(it is more lightweight and narrow). i use my dyson downstairs, that's where our dogs are for the most part, i do prefer the dyson for picking up pet hair. the telescoping wand is GREAT for around baseboards, the corners in the walls, etc. i don't know how i did without that wand for so many years! i got my dyson at bed, bath, and beyond with a 20% off coupon.

LOVE love love my Dyson. We have the animal and bought it on Ebay brand new for $100 less than in stores. It works great if you have pet hair. Love that all the parts and tubes are in one nifty vacuum. It works great and we have not had any issues in 5 years.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Oreck XL. Great warranty, Great vac, light weight,

It was well worth the money. I got mine last year and will never use anything else.

My mom has a Dyson and hates it because it is heavy. She said it works well, but way too heavy.

Good luck

I highly recommend the ORECK XL. I bought one earlier this year and it the bomb on dirt! I will never own another vaccum for at least 10 years and our familys health is so much better off since we started using our ORECK VACUUM! Get one and you won't be sorry!

I LOVE my kenmore. you just have to look for good deals. my mom just got a vacume at walmart for sixty dollars and it works pretty good, it's a hoover. I have had my kenmore for a little over 5 years the belt just broke and it's a five dollar fix. but it has easy care to no care needed.it is prety light and does great with ALL my sons messes food, crums, stuff he tracked or brought in, everything. you can only get them at Sears but when i was looking for christmas gifts i found several of them on sale for around a hundred dollars.

Hi L.,
My name is L. and about 2 years ago we bought a Rainbow vacuum cleaner and I love it. It is kinda expensive but it will last forever. My mother in law has had hers for 12 years and it is like new. Good luck.

I would recomend a kirby. Yes,they are exspensive BUT they have a lifetime gurantee!! It will be the last you ever buy. They are a little heavy but unless you are carrying up stairs you can push it in nuetral everywhere you take it. Its not heavy when you are vaccuming because it has a drive. Its easy to take apart for attachments or to change the belt. I have had mine for 6 years and never had any problem with it. Expect to pay at least $1000.00 for it.

I have the Oreck XL and love it. We had moved into a house with a central vac, so I had gotten rid of it. I bought my current one off of craigslist, then had it cleaned. It works perfectly. If you are willing to clean it or have it cleaned you can save money on Craigslist.

My mom has had her Oreck for 12 yrs. So, they last a long time.

I've had my Kirby vacuum for the last 26 years! I vacuum every couple of days with it and have not had any problems with it other than needing a new belt. (which is cheap!)
I am amazed it has lasted this long, but I believe it has saved me a ton of money by not having to buy new vacuum cleaners.
