Ok moms-since you are all so very creative wih your decorating I have another question for you. I have a great wreath that is still nice looking! I took the candy canes and red and white bows off of it today but the wreath still looks so good I would like to decorate it for valentines day... then maybe st. patricks day, easter, etc. As long as this thing still looks good. I love the way the wreath makes my front door look so cheery and inviting!
So.....how am I going to turn this christmas wreath into a valentine wreat? then st. pattys, easter, etc.
Anyone do this? Ideas?? Oh... I have very creative ideas alot but lack the skills to figure out how to do them. LOL So don't give me anything that requires sewing or a ton of time. Just simple, cute fun easy ways to change this wreath until it falls apart!
Thanks moms!

So What Happened?

Well I went to the craft store for ribbon to just do a bow... but instead I found these great little things. Not sure exactly what they are. They had hearts on the top that were all glittery (i got dark and light pink ones, some were solid and some where just the outline of the heart) they are on little thin metal rods. I also saw St. Patricks day ones too so I picked up a few of them. I poked them down in the wreat and it looks so cute! Thanks for all your suggestions!

no, I don't do this myself, but here are some ideas.

Put a pink bow on it for Valentines Day; even beter if you could find ribbon that has hearts on it...

Then for St. Pat's, use a green bow, foam shamrocks.

Easter--plastic eggs, pastel bow, maybe a small toy bunny wired to the wreath.

Memorial Day/4th of July--flags, red/white/blue ribbon.

Halloween--orange and black bow/ribbons, foam pumpkins, ghosts, and black cats, small plastic spiders

Fall/Thanksgiving--colorful leaves, nuts, pine cones, acorns, seed pods (milkweed, sycamore), gold, orange, burgundy or brown ribbons for bow; you could spray-paint the seed pods or cones if you want; "leaf garland"

Even if you find some beads or necklaces at a garage sale or thrift store, in the colors you want, they can be wrapped around or woven through the wreath; or look for garland in whatever colors

Walk through your fabric/craft store for ideas too. Have fun!

Since your wanting to reuse it- I would use twist ties from bread and trash bages to hang red hearts on it or maybe make some bigger reg bows and hot glue some kisses on it. For St. Patty's Day maybe do some little black hats with green bands on them. You know little guy hats. And maybe some golg foil covered chocolate coins. And a big green bow. You could also cause some discussion with your hat. Not to many in American know only Catholics wear the green. Non- Catholics wear orange. So I would add some orange bows for interest.

Make bows of various colors - red for Christmas and Valentine's Day, Green which can be used for St. Pat's and Christmas, etc.

If you go to Michael's or a Hobby Lobby store, you'll have NO problems finding things to put on the wreath. you can use floral wire or picks, however you choose to do it.

You might also create a garland for each holiday that you could attach/intertwine into to the wreath. You can use any numerous kinds of strands......beads, actual garland (and they DO make garland for all occasions)..those sponge and/or glitter shapes - eggs, stars, etc.

I don't think you'll have a problem at all once you get into the store. also.....might think about things like small gardening tools, flowers, wheelbarrow, etc for a spring one.

I did several wreaths one year for mothers day made from old garden hoses. I cleaned them up, wound them and decorated them with all kinds of gardening things...little gloves, small hats, etc. They LOVED them! Very unique and very cute!

Cut white, pink, and red hearts out of felt or that craft foam (foamies sheets). Hang on the wreath using ornament hooks (you will have to poke a little hole in the hearts for the hooks). Easy and inexpensive!!

St. Pats: Same thing, just do green shamrocks.
Easter: Eggs or bunnies, or yellow chicks, or any combo of these.

Have fun!
