you could see Deb Lesnik at Evanston NorthShore(formerly Evanston Hospital)
She and her partner are one of the better Midwife practices in the area!
She and Gaye K offer a low interventive birth experience with a good Dr. as back up.
Looking for a VBAC friendly midwife or OBGYN in the North Suburbs of Chicago. We live in Buffalo Grove and are willing to drive a bit but my husband isn't as willing as I am. :) Any advice would be helpful.

I had a vbac and had a great experience. I was with Dr Elizabeth Forbes. She is with a group through Northshore University Healthcare and delivers at Evanston Hospital. They have offices in Glenview and Evanston. The only reason I had a C/S the first time was due to breech presentation so I was considered a good candidate. Good luck and wish you the best!
I've attended a birth as a doula with Dr. Elizabeth Forbes (mentioned by a previous poster) and I second that she's a great doctor. My client did not have a cesarean so I can't say on that with this doc specifically. I do recommend that you check out your local chapter of ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network). This is a great resource for women who desire a VBAC. They can point you to great care providers in your area who are truly VBAC friendly (and not just say they are to get you on their client roster). http://ican-online.org/chapter/search
Good luck!
I also recommend Debi Lesnick and Gaye with North Shore Associates. They deliver at Evanston Hospital and are both wonderful. My second was a VBAC, and although I saw Debi throughout both pregnancies, I delivered with Gaye for my VBAC. It was a wonderful experience. They are both very low key, no drama and take lots of time to answer all your questions. Highly, highly recommend them!
Northwest Women's Consultants SC -- they are located on Central in Arlington Heights (they have 2 offices -- one for first appt and gyn and 2nd at Northwest Community Hospital). It should be too horrible of a drive. Both the practice and the hospital are VBAC friendly. I called before getting pregnant with #3 (currently about 16 weeks). I am planning a VBAC in May with them. Best wishes!
