Ditto. We used stage 2 until our son turned 1. You should be good to go with what you have.
My 8 month old son is in daycare, and his provider said we should buy Stage 3 nipples now. However, Playtex Ventaire bottles seem to only have Stage 1 and Stage 2 nipples. Does anyone use this bottle, and have you kept using the Stage 2 nipple past 6 months? Thanks!

We used stage 2 until my son was a year. I didn't ever look for a stage 3. I think he should be fine.
I used Playtex bottles with my first 2 kids. They never had a problem with the stage two nipples. They used them from about 6 months til one year when they switched to sippy cups. I've looked for stage 3 nipples in every brand of bottles that I can find and I haven't found a bottle that has a stage 3 nipple.
I use the Ventaire bottles and there isn't a stage 3. Only slow and fast flow (stage 1 and stage 2). We used the stage 2 all the way up until my older son was 1 year old and are using stage 2's for my younger son right now.
Hi,
There is not a stage 3 for those bottles. If you feel you needed a bigger opening you could cut the opening bigger. You may want to ask them why they say he needs a Stage 3.
There isnt a stage 3 for the ventaire nipples. We used the stage 2 til my daughter was 1 yrs old. IT is a faster flow nipple than the stage 1 but it should work for you.... good luck!
Do you use the normal size ventaire? Because they do make a wide now. The sizes are 6 and 9 ounces. But they take the regular Playtex nurser drop in nipples. I don't know if they have different stages, but it may be worth a try.
