Thanks everyone for the great responses. I finally decided to go with the movie party at Tinseltown and the kids had a wonderful time.

C.H.,
I have been looking for places to have my 1 year olds Birthday, and have come across a few cool places that would be more suitable for an older kiddo!
First there is a place off the beltway, between 290 and 249. It's called Monkey Bizness. www.monkeybizness.com They have 2 different packages and they are pretty good. This is one of those facility's with boucy activities.
Then you can look into Zuma fun centers....formerly know as Celebration station. I went to google and did a search for Celebration station and you will see the link for Zuma. They have 3 different packages!

Those are the two that are the best I think for an 8 yr old boy! You might look into picking up one of those Kid's Directory's from your local kids venues and see if you can find anything else!

Hope this info was helpful!

Try the Houston Zoo or the Children's Museum. Both of them can handle birthday parties for kids.

Hello,
For the last two years I have had my sons' birthday parties at Pump It Up off of I10 near the Edwards Cinema. It is an indoor play structure with infaltable large scale slides and moonwalks. Essentially the kids are there for 2 to 3 hours and are shepherded from one room, to the second, and then finally to the eating/present room where they get to sit on a throne of all things! Its pretty cool and lots of fun for the kids!
