Viable Pregnancy?

I was seen in ER yesterday with light bleeding and cramping. My hcg level was only 14 so PA stated I may be miscarrying. Anyone else have or know someone to have low hcg level and light/ moderate bleeding and carry full term? I conceived on or after April 1 so I am very early on; I read that 14 could be an okay number if embryo implanted late. It's the weekend so there's nothing more to do until Monday when the beta hcg test is done again. Hopefully it will have doubled. Thanks for sharing any experience or information :)

What can I do next?

Welcome to mamapedia!!

We're not doctor's here so we don't know your medical history or health.

Since every person is different, it's hard to tell. I don't know why on a Friday, an OB/GYN felt the need to send you to the ER so early in your pregnancy instead of examining you in his/her office.

best thing you can do is relax and not stress.

good luck!!

The cramping worries me even more than the bleeding :( I have been there too many times ... you are right, things could be just fine - I am hoping you get a great hcg on Monday! Did they test for or put you on progesterone? Will keep you in my prayers, take care of yourself and check back in on Monday.

There is nothing That can be done at this point. If you are having a miscarriage, you cannot stop it neither can doc. Just wait it out. In the days before pregnancy home tests, you just hung in and waited. Saw doc after you missed your second period. It we had a mis early on, we never really knew it. Life was simple then. Good luck and try not to worry. It is out of your control.

I'm not a medical doctor by any extreme! How bad are you cramping? it could just be uterus doing things, you know, mama things. :) When I was implanting with my first pregnancy, I had crazy cramps... when I found out I was pregnant, I had mild cramping and spotting. when I got my first ultrasound, I was so early on they couldn't detect a fetal pole. They asked me to come back in 4 weeks to determine if the pregnancy was viable. It was in fact viable... the 4 weeks I waited was insane!!

2 months ago, I think I had an early term miscarriage. I had been trying with DH for 5 months at that point, hadn't seen a positive test yet, but had EXTREME cramping, chunky brown discharge, and I was extremely tired. This followed with about a week of heavy brown discharge, very chunky. It could have been confused with my period if I hadn't paid attention to how I felt. Now, I'm starting my 8th month of TTC and I'm not pregnant yet. Still waiting.

So pay attention to your body. How do you feel? Either way, if you question anything, see a doctor on monday who can help you get the answers you need! In the mean time, take it easy if you can. Don't over exert yourself if possible.
