VW Jetta Wagon

Any Moms own a jetta wagon? I hate my mini van - too big for me and too many blind spots - I like the trunk of these cars - they do not have wheel wells in the trunk so it is easier to fit a stroller. If you do have one, any comments about how they drive in the winter time or any comments on gas mileage? Thank you

What can I do next?

If you don't get any responses on here, you can google reviews and it will tell you all this online.

Just an FYI, I'm an insurance agent so you may want to contact your current agent and get a quote to see how much your insurance will go up, if any, it may be less, which would be good to know also. Good luck!

I don't have the Jetta Wagon but my daughter has the 2009 California edition Jetta (awesome) and I just bought an amazing Passat three weeks ago. We both do a ton of driving and they are great on mileage. Check them out!

Looks like a good car with good gas mileage. I wanted an larger SUV type for safety reasons, so went with a RAV 4. I got the 4 cylinder for better gas mileage, and the third row which I have folded down for great truck space but can put up if needed. I love my RAV, it is good on gas, has that third row if I need it, great trunk space for everything. but the Jetta looks like it get better gas mileage than my RAV4 and it looks plenty roomy, so if that is the type of car you like go for it, just make sure to look of reviews on things like reliability and repairs. i went with a toyota as they do well long term needing little repair, and last forever. Good luck in your car search!!!

I have a VW GTI (sport version of the Golf) and I absolutely LOVE IT! I guess I should also add that I have 2 kids in car seats (1 still rear facing) and a 60lb dog. The interior of the Jetta and the GTI are identical in size and more than ample. My sister fits in between the car seats comfortably (she is 12 and very skinny but still). The trunk space is great too. The dog fits easily on her own or not as comfortably with the full size stroller next to her. I also looked at the Jetta Wagon when buying my GTI but didn't feel that I was getting that much more trunk space to give up the sports car feel. I guess I should also add that my 6ft 2in husband fits relatively comfortably in the passenger seat with a full size rear facing convertible car seat. I hope this helps! :)

Passat, no jetta! Love my passat, several of my friends have them also, and one has a passat wagon. They're great, my favorite car I've ever owned. Even my two friends who sell vws always say no jettas. My passat gets great mileage, and downsizing from a minivan, the passat is bigger than the jetta too.
