Broken Bow, Oklahoma. It's beautiful and the lake water is actually clear.
We would like to get out of town for the long weekend, but not sure where we want to go. Any suggestions? We have done the Granbury-Glenrose thing and been to Jefferson, but are looking for something new. We have 13 and 4 year old boys and don't want to travel more than 3 hours. My husband would like to find the "perfect swimming hole" while I would like some laid back things to do, but also find something to keep both the boys entertained. Maybe somewhere in the Hill Country, but we've never been. I'm at a loss...any ideas? Thanks!

We just got back from Rockport/Fulton, TX and LOVED it!! It's down on the coast and a wonderful area! It's a little fising community but a lot of fun. Only drawback is that it's more than 3 hours. Maybe if you and hubby can get away for a weekend you could check it out. Have a great weekend!
I agree with Deedee. I don't know how many places they have up there, but a friend of mine always stays here and loves it:

Silver Leaf resort in Canyon, TX is nice. Near tubing and Natural Bridge Caverns. A fun swimming hole is Turner Falls in OK. Not too far away-can even do a day trip if you want.
Hill Country is great! Your husband and sons would probably like tubing down the river in New Braunfels. It is further than 3 hours though.
