Wanting to Conceive Very Badly

I was expecting to be positively pregnant. Last Monday, i had my urine tested at the clinic's laboratory. It went back weakly positive. I had high hopes until came Wednesday, I had a moderate menstrual flow. It is not spotting... it actually soaked the sanitary napkin. Its been 3 days now and the discharge varies from scanty to moderate amount. So, the pregnancy test I had last Monday is just nothing?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

After 8 months of TTC, I finally got pregnant. I'm expecting a baby boy :-D. Thank you Lord. I have a nice name for him. I will name him Sean which means God is gracious. I went to an OB-Gyne sometime in June. She asked me to exercise and take Glucophage. My, I felt nauseous with Glucophage especially when the dose got higher after a week, I was diagnosed to have PCOS. So I did do my share. I took my meds. I walked for long distances. I tapered my food. Afterwhich, my OB-gyne advised me to take pills to regulate my menstruation. I was in SG when I was taking the rest of the pills. (the pills were taken for 7 days). And I tell you, the feeling is also not good either. I feel some muscle twitching in my stomach. After the last pill, me ang my hubby had sex. That was in August. Then comes September, I moniot

It could be a chemical pregnancy. Id call your doctor and tell them what what happened. They may want you to come in and get a blood test to see if youre still pregnant. Im so sorry about this

P.:

I understand your confusion! It sounds like you might have been pregnant - could've been a blighted ovum and now your body is discharging it.

If you soak a sanitary pad within one hour - you NEED (no MUST) go to the ER. That is NOT a good thing.

I would suggest that you have your blood drawn to see what your Hgh levels are - that will determine if you were pregnant or your body is freaking out.

I can tell you from experience - the more you want to conceive the more stress you put on your body and your body WILL hold you back. It's soooo much easier said than done - but I can tell you that after trying for 3.5 years and going through hundreds (no exaggeration) tests, pokes, prodded, needles, etc. we finally gave up - seriously- I prayed to God and told Him that I get it - You don't want us to have children - I resigned myself to that and went back to having sex for fun and put the thought of children out of my head and heart. It was hard - but 6 months later - I thought I had the flu - wasn't even thinking about pregnancy - and BAM!! pregnant! Then I was pregnant 5 years in a row! YIKES!!!! Out of those 5 pregnancies, I have two beautiful boys that I wouldn't trade the world for!

Again, easier said than done - don't stress over getting pregnant. Have fun! relax!!

In regards to this - I am truly sorry - I've been there. My heart goes out to you.

Did you test at home despite the bleeding? It certainly could be an early miscarriage, which is very common, but do not lose hope yet. I would hate to get your hopes up, but with my DS (who is now a happy, healthy 15 month old) I bled quite heavily the first week after I found out I was pregnant (started bleeding literally hours after I got a + test). I had bright red, moderate bleeding similar to my period and it lasted almost a week. The bleeding amount and description would vary day to day, even hour to hour until it finally stopped, maybe 5 days later. (I Think I was in the bathroom every 2 minutes "checking" to see if it had gotten heavier or stopped...it was obsessive). I was convinced I had miscarried, my medical providers were sure I was miscarrying...but I still insisted on repeat bloodwork for HCG levels every 48 hours for a week, and an early ultrasound and lo and behold, my little man made it! He was my second child. I only had very mild spotting for maybe 2 days with DD, so the bleeding was all new to me.
Hope to hear good news from you in the coming days.

I'm so sorry. I struggled with getting pregnant too, and ultimately turned to a fertility specialist. Keep taking care of yourself. Exercise, eat right and get enough sleep so that your mind can handle the stress of this situation. It will only help in the long run too. Thinking of you.

No you were pregnant and are having a miscarriage. Losing the pregnancy early on can seem like a heavy period. I have miscarried 2 pregnancies myself and really want to get pregnant. I am so sorry for your loss.

Sounds like a chemical pregnancy, especially with a weak positive the first time. I hope next month is your month!!
