I have been trying to let my hair grow for some time now because I am wanting to find a great hair salon that can give me a cut and color that is right for me! I am wanting to find a hair designer that can tell me what I need to do with my hair! So place like you see on makeover shows, where you come in and they just go to work on your hair, they tell you what needs to be done!!! Does anyone know anywhere that does that??

What can I do next?

Hello;

I currently go to Mane, Body and Sole in Grove City and see Amanda. She is young and up to date on her styling and color. I'm not sure how long she has been doing hair but she is really good and really nice. It's a really small salon in GC and I found her because that is where I get my nails done. She runs $22 for a cut and color is based on what you decide to have done and how many colors you want also. I would stongly recommend her: ###-###-#### is the salon number!

I used go to Charles Penzone Grand Salon but I went to the Dublin location off Sawmill Rd. I absolutely loved going there although the price is very high for a cut and color. The stylist I saw was Makayla and she is amazing! I had my highlights and cut done in February and you could barely see the grow out....again she is amazing! My color always looks very natural and she gives me a style that I can duplicate at home! The cost of my highlights and cut run about ($45 for a cut plus color) $140 - $160 and then if you buy products from them the price goes up! I use their recommended shampoo and conditioner (Alterna Cavier Anti-Aging) which costs me $28 for shampoo and $32 for conditioner for 8oz bottles. I then searched ebay and found it there for a fraction of the price! I strongly recommend these products as they make my hair feel and look great!!!

I used to go to Kenneth's Hair Studio at Mill Run and saw Cameron. She was good too, but lazy! She never wanted to do a full highlight just a partial and it got to the point that I couldn't wear my hair partially up because the top part would look blonde while the underneath would look brown. I loved the hair cuts she gave me but not the color!!!

If you are wanting to keep your hair long, there is a salon near German Village that actually spcializes in long hair. It is called Repunzels Long Hair Salon.

I hope this helps, and I would love to hear what you finally decide to do!!!

Hi J.!

I recently went to the Charles Penzone Grand Salon near Easton (on Morse Rd.) and had a great experience. I have surly hair, and when I called the Penzone main line to make an appointment I asked for a recommendation for someone who is especially good with curly hair. They referred me to Jordan at the Grand Salon, and I was thrilled with her! She immediately understood the challenges of getting a style that looks good curly or straight, and she did a great job.

Penzone has a great reputation here in town, so I would call their main number and ask for a stylist that matches your needs. They did a great job matching me up with the right person!

Good luck, and have fun!

I don't know where you are located, but I go to J.Nicole in Pickerington. We see Emily (my 2 friends, my mom, my daughter, and my friend's daughter)! She is great!....up on styles and not afraid to get you a new look!

Another thought.....have you ever tried www.thehairstyler.com? This is an inexpensive sight where you can try different hair styles on your picture. It is fun and can give you some ideas to start with. I used to belong and I would print out about a dozen styles that I liked.....then I would work with a stylist to tell me if the style would work with my hair type.
