We had a durapela couch, did the same thing. The only thing that worked was warm water with woolite. Be sure to saturate the area otherwise the water spots will return.
I have a microfiber couch that has water spots. Trying to clean them I made them worse. Any suggestions for getting the whole couch clean? Company that can clean them really well and then like scotch treat them or something? The spots drive me nuts to see them.

I also have a microfiber couch and the water spots drive me nuts. I'll never purchase microfiber furniture again! And yes, it is water. I don't let my children eat on the couch but I USED to let them bring their sippy cups (with only water inside) on the couch. One will spill a little water and sure enough, leave a spot. I hope you get some great responses/suggestions.
Sorry to hear that? We have a brick red color micro fiber couch from Macy's.. And we have actually steam cleaned it.. After a throw up incident looks new and is 5 years old.. Are u sure it is water? Yes I have caught my 5 year old combing her hair and using hair spray while sitting on the couch.. I used natures miracle carpet cleaner sold at pet smart.. Works great.. Test an area that won't show l Iike back side of cushion. Or test an area with a baby wipe. best of luck.

This is of course, at your own risk:
I have a microfiber couch. I took the covers off the cushions and put them in the washing machine! On cold & gentle of course. But they came out beautifully!!!! I did NOT put them in the dryer. In fact I put them back on the cushions wet. Good luck.
