Hi all,

We are leaving for WDW in a month but was wondering if any of you knew the answer to this question..... I know as far as medications are concerned, you can house those at the first aid staion at each of the parks, but what about daily supplements prescribed by a physician? Only one needs to be regrigerated but others are in liquid form in glass bottles that can stay at room temp (these are items I can get at regular health food stores). I'd prefer to leave these at the first aid station if I could to avoid the risk of them breaking in my bag on a ride. Anyone know the rules on that?

Also, as a side note, anyone know if you get a discount if you rent a stroller every day you are there??

TIA!!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

My special needs son is on several supplements that he has to take w/each meal. I am trying to avoid having to go back to our hotel at each meal to administer his supps.

They do not give discounts on stroller rentals. I would suggest bringing your own or renting one from an outside company in Orlando or Kissimmee since you would have to get inside the park to get one.

You can put your OTC meds in a small cooler (lunchbox size) and leave it in the stroller when you are on rides I am pretty sure that all Disney hotels offer small refrigerators in the rooms with little freezers. All the stroller parking areas have attendants. If you leave the stroller in an area NOT marked stroller parking the employees WILL move it and you will be searching for it.

I have never had my stroller taken or items stolen from it (we have annual passes and visit the parks about once a month), they have cameras EVERYWHERE in the parks and they watch everything that goes on (even on the rides with and without lights).

I don't believe there is any discount on stroller rental.

If you are staying in a hotel room, couldn't you just keep your medications and supplements there?

I would imagine that if you just gave them a bag with the supplements and the medications, I wouldn't think they'd question you too much on them. If you're really worried, have your doc write a note about what he needs to take every day. You should have that with you anyway just in case something happens (God forbid!)

There is a slight discount for more than one day . Its a few dollars off. You have to pay for the extra day at that time to get the discount .You save your receipt and bring it back the next day to get your stroller so put it in a safe place.

I agree with bringing a cooler to keep the meds in . We always leave things in our stroller with no problem . I still wouldnt leave valuables though. Most rides should be fine to bring your meds with you .

Also, if your son has special needs, sometimes you get a pass to go to the front of the line . I would check it out .
You can can call the main disney number and ask all these questions so you have exact info and a plan . they are so helpful.its (407)WDISNEY
