T.A. asks from Cedar Park, TX

We just moved to Cedar Park about a month ago now and I'm not having much luck with meeting other moms and am lost without the social contact and am in need of good pediatrician with a good bedside manner, laid back, and that will take time with you and not make you feel stupid for asking questions. I'm also on the lookout for a pediatric dentist with lots of patience. My 5 year old freaks out. Also looking for a babysitter that actually hangs out with and plays with the kids and would love to find a mom's group in the area as well. Finally I of course need to find a hairdresser. I don't mind driving and I'm a firm believer in the saying "you get what you pay for". Again I prefer someone laid back who likes to talk but that listens to what you want. Not asking for much am I? Just the world!! (Ha) Any suggestions? Thanks. T. A.

T.,

This time of year, you're most likely to meet some moms at the local pool (and maybe the park:) For a hi-tech way to meet some moms try

I would recommend Chris Spencer as a pediatrician:

I would recommend Pamela Singletary as pediatric dentist:

Good luck,

We go to Dr. Brooks Booker at ARC Anderson Mill. He's just great - can't say enough nice things, really puts you at ease and goes the extra mile with the kids. They actually like to go to the doctor! They draw him pictures, ask when they will see him next. He's very funny, a great listener. I see Dr. B (he's at the some clinic) when Dr. Booker isn't around. He's great too, but I prefer Dr. Booker, so have all my friends that I've referred.

My son goes to Austin Regional Clinic on Anderson Mill, and his dr. is Dr. Bocchicchio (Dr. B). And we have been going to him for 2 1/2 years. My girlfriend referred me to him and her 2 sons go to him and about 3 of her other friends children also. We love him, he is truly a great pedi dr. He really spends a good deal of time with you in appointments, answers all your questions and never will make you feel stupid for asking questions. You will not be disappointed. If you go then tell him that J. Vargas Referred you (Ethan's mom) he know's us. The number to the office is ###-###-####. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Hi T.

I have a very sweet, funny and great hairdresser and I recommend her to everyone. Call Salon U in Lakeway: ###-###-#### and schedule an appointment with Michelle Lasher. It is a beautyful drive out there!

I will also recommend our family doctor Dr D. Nash at the Austin Regional Clinic on 1431 accross from the postoffice!

My daughter is a great baby and pet sitter, let me know if you want to meet her!
Hope that will help you and welcome to the area:-)
M.
