This will sound weird....

Cabbage leaves!

Take the inner leaves of cabbage leaves, break open the veins and stick them in your bras.

They'll help dry you up.

Hi A.,
I weaned my daughter when she was 6 months old. What I did was only fed her at night and in the morning. That way I emptied them for comfort before bed, and trust me, when you wake up they'll be full again!!
After about a month the milk started to dwindel, and I was only feeding her once a day. You're going to hurt for a bit, just until you stop producing so much milk. I want to say it was uncomfortable for maybe a week, then they just felt full.
Good luck!!

Your breasts will eventually adapt because the baby will be eating less and less from them. Warm compresses on your breasts if they hurt. Express your milk if your baby is missing feedings. Just enough to relieve your feeling not to build the milk up again. Your body has a way of going back to its normal state. I breast fed all four of my boys. The less they feed from the breast the easier the transition for you.

I weaned my daughter when she was nine months old. I did it in a couple of weeks. I reduced one feeding every couple of days and didn't really have much of a problem with my breasts. When I completely stopped nursing, I did have some hard things (I am assuming clogged milk ducts) for a couple of days but it wasn't painful. I would just gently massage them in the warm shower.

Just go fairly slow and you shouldn't have any problems.

My doctor told me to leave out a feeding for 2 or 3 days...then leave out another one, and so on until your baby is weaned. This worked great for me both times. Hope that helps!
