Websites/software for Kids to Publish Their Own Books

My 6 yo wrote a little book about her toy puppy and it is really cute. I would love to "publish" it with her and print it out in book form. Is there a free or cheap website where we can do this? Software suggestions would be fine, too.
Thanks!

ETA:
I want to print it out at home. I don't want to pay for a hardcover copy to be sent to me.

I am a teacher, and I make classroom books all the time out of kids' work. :) I don't know of a website or anything... I suggest typing it up and formatting it yourself in Word (or something similar), printing it, then taking it to Office Depot/Office Max/Staples/etc. to have it bound with that plastic binding they have. Or you could ask a teacher friend to bind it at school if they have the machine. :) I would probably laminate the pages first, too, so that it lasts. It would be so easy, this way to let her illustrate each page after you print it.

What a fun memory!! This actually would make a great gift for grandparents for Christmas or something... "What I love about Nana & Papa"... You get the idea! :)

If you have more questions (or even would like for me to set it up in a super cute font and email it to you!) just send me a message. ;)

Good luck! What a great Mommy-idea! Your little girl is going to love having her own book!! :)

There is a self publishing website called lulu.com. I have used it before to design a book of student poetry. I was not involved in the actual publishing and paying for the book, so I am not exactly sure who it works, but you might look into it. I think you might be able to design your book and print out a copy at home for proofing and not ever have to pay anything. Membership on the website is free and so, you could create an account and check it out. Otherwise I would just type it up in whatever software you have and print it out. Or what about just having your child print it in her handwriting and make copies of it? We have made books at school for kids with the pages done in their own handwriting and illustrations. Then we make a bound book using fabric, cardboard, iron on adhesive, etc. I am sure that if you google binding a book, you could find some instructions. Would other family members also want a copy? Grandparents, etc?
