My Husband and are looking to find a regular babysitter for Friday or Saturday nights. We have a 3 month old so we need to find someone who would know how to handle an infant.

I know quite a few women who use a nanny service. With most services, after you register, you must call at least 24 hours in advance and they usually charge approximately $10/hr for 2 kids(I know one friend of mine pays as much as $15 an hour though). I have never used one, but it might be worth checking out. It will offer you a professional, whose background has been checked and is probably certified in CPR with plenty of experience caring for children.

hi i myself have been trying to find care for my infant but also am scared of childcare centers here for there are a lot of deaths from not caring and paying attention to children. texas is very bad at this. i want to spend at least twice a month on weekend w/my spouse as well. maybe we can get set up w/a playgroup allowing more moms to attend as well and exchange nights in childcare w/one another when we become more comfortable w/everyone. i have had no luck w/other moms on here in giving me information on childcare for my son for the occassional night out but if my previous idea doesnt interest u then please give me info u might come across on chidcare so that i might get to spend some time w/my spouse.
