Hello Ladies, Does anyone have a recommendation for a motivational book for weight loss? I know that I need to pull up my boot straps and just have the willpower not to eat what I shouldn't, but I could use a little help!!

Thanks,

M.

I'm in the same boat! In case this might help.... in the last two days I've been to two events (one luncheon and a book club dinner). I noticed both times that I finished my plate before anyone else did and I never thought that I ate fast. But I guess with twin 2 year olds, I've been eating fast so that I can keep up with them. I think I'm going to work on that too.

You should really check out www.sparkpeople.com. It is FREE to join and it's the best for weight loss. There are food trackers, exercise videos, recipes, tons of helpful articles, plenty of supportive people, and there are lots of people that have lost over 100 pounds there. Everything is free. You won't be disappointed!

Sparkpeople.com is excellent. You can find friends to help motivate you or there may even be an active team in your area that plans hikes, bike rides, etc. They also put out a book a year or two ago called The Spark and it has motivational stories in it and tells you about the website and how it came to be. Of course the book costs money, but the website membership is free and it has so much good stuff!

Watch the documentary "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" it's on netflix.

Then go to http://jointhereboot.com for lots of healthy recipes and ideas on how to get started on a healthier lifestyle. It's largely raw fruits/veggies... but I'm not saying you need to do all of it, but it will help you learn how to curb appetites and make healthier choices. So when you want that pizza or cake, it's not that huge of an issue.

i have never read any weight loss books. but when i lost a lot of weight it was from portion control and not eating late. that was it, i didnt even really exercise much, but different things work for different people. I have issues with eating way to big portions. or like instead of eating 1 piece of cake i may eat 2 huge pieces etc....i dont know if that would work for you or not, but it took me from a size 14 to a 10.....oh how i wish i was that small again....3 babies in 20 months killed my waist....
