You've probably already gotten this answer, but I liked Weight Watchers. It made the most sense as far as real world eating and exercising. Good luck!
Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to lose 30+ pounds in post pregnancy weight. I was wondering if anyone had any weight loss plans they have tried that were sucessful. Any ideas are much appreciated.
You've probably already gotten this answer, but I liked Weight Watchers. It made the most sense as far as real world eating and exercising. Good luck!
I lost 45 pounds on Weight Watchers. I swear by it! But you need to be dedicated... as with any diet. I just love that WW isn't really a diet. You can eat what you want, but it helps you make better choices.
These have worked well for me. Weight Watchers, then Weight Watchers on line and now I'm doing Sparkpeople.com. Spark people is just like WW online but it's free.
Now if I could just keep the sweets out of my mouth I'd be doing really good. :)
Good Luck!
Hi M.,
I would recommend using Herbalife. I'm a distributor and would love to talk to you about it. I use it and it's great. There's no counting points and you can still eat regular food. This is not a diet program, just a better way of eating. My mom has been on it and has lost 45lbs+ and she looks a feels great. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact me. My email is ____@____.com can also go to my website and check it out; www.lovemynutrition.com.
Hope to talk to you soon! T.
I got lucky - or so it could seem I suppose - with an opportunity to start losing weight even BEFORE I was done being pregnant, and it actually improved the health of myself and my baby. How so? Well, the opportunity actually started with a yeast infection in my last month of pregnancy :P and yeast feeds off of sugars and starches, so what I did was slash carbs and sugars (this unfortunately had to include fruit juices) from my diet, ate just meats and leafy greens and had lots of organic whole milk yogurt and organic cranberry juice.
Within the first week I dropped 8 pounds... and I felt fantastic on top of that.
I kept it up and after the baby was born, I was 10 pounds less than the weight I STARTED my pregnancy with - although my figure still had the "baby was here" look to it of course :P still does in fact, but I'm in no hurry to get my trim figure back, I just want to keep my good health.
Breastfeeding does wonders to shed calories also.
M.,
I highly recommend Weight Watchers. I lost 38 pounds when I was doing the program. It is geared towards slow (1 to 2 pounds a week), steady weight loss. The program is not about deprivation, but it teaches you how to eat for the rest of your life. They now have it set up so that you can follow the program online or attend the meetings. If you sign up online, you can also attend the meetings and it is a few dollars cheaper.
Transitions Life Style system I lost 30 pounds and 31 inches total body loss in 12 weeks. If you want more info just let me know
Hi M., Diets are for the birds, you have to change how you eat and how you drink. I found just by not drinking sugared iced tea (I was addicted to the stuff!) I lost 20 pounds. Also read lables watch how much salt and how many carbs are in what you are eating. Stay away from "low fat" stuff, usually they have more carbs, more salt and sometimes even more calories than the "regular" choices. Reading lables is a real eye-opener! FYI a normal adult should have 2-3 carbs per meal (15g of carbs = 1 carb). Check out diabetic cookbooks to...there are great reciepes that are healthy for everyone in the family. Good luck and best wishes.
Definitely Weight Watchers
It really is not a diet because it teaches you how you should eat to both lose weight and maintain the weight loss.
Hi M.,
I am also a stay at home mom...of 2. I must say that I also need to lose about 30 lbs...STILL!
I have done it once before and the key for me and for most people is to boost your metabolism.
Eatting 5-6 small meals(snack size, roughly 4 oz.) a day between 2-3 hours apart and lots of water. Excersise helps speed things up, but we both know how difficult it is when you have little ones.
I have lost 10 lbs. in 3 weeks. The hardest part is part is eatting healthier and sticking to it.
Hope this helps.
I too am trying to lose my post-pregnancy weight.
I have found that counting carbs works best for me. The American Assoc of Diabetes recommends 45-60g of carbs per meal. (You can check out their website for specifics)
I also have given up sugary beverages, I drink water.
I have lost almost 40lbs, but still have another 20 to go!
Just take one day at a time and if you screw up, just start over again the next day. A food journal does help if you have the time.

M.,
I actually been losing weight and inches and keeping it off on isagenix. Its a product that pulls the toxins out of your fat cells which allows the weight loss.
It also helps with energy, mental clarity, stress and it delivers.
Check it out- www.danablazo.isagenix.com. Most people come in as a member to get the wholesale prices.
Call or email with any questions.
Good luck!

I was diagnosed a Type 2 Diabetic a couple of years ago. I lost 49 pounds, but have gained back 17 of that.
In addition to my Diabetes prescriptions, I count total carbohydrates. I've drastically reduced the amount of them that I eat. My doctor has emphasized the effect on my blood sugar readings, but I have kept off a 10% weight loss of about 30 pounds.
The best tip I can offer is to use a food journal. If you eat it, it goes in the journal along with the carbohydrates (or calories if you prefer) in the food. After a few days, you'll find yourself changing your habits!
Although I no longer use it, a pedometer to count your steps can be a useful aid, too. I used mine when I was fitness walking in a local shopping mall, and studies have proven that people tend to walk more steps when they're being counted.
Good luck with your efforts to lose weight.
I used power90 from Beachbody.com It was a simple workout and my husband helped by keeping me doing it 6x a week.
I too also recommmend weight watchers.I have lost 11 pounds in 2 weeks!!Is that not awesome! Praise God!
The Weight Watchers online program is awesome, can't say enough about it. I've lost 20+ lbs 3 different times in the past 5 years. It definitely teaches you how to eat differently so its much more like a lifestyle change and not a diet. I would recommend you get the WW point calculator on their site for $10.00, its so worth the money and you can carry it in your diaper bag or to the grocery store so you can calculate the points right in the aisle!
The nice thing about the online version is that you don't need to go to any meetings.
I wish you lots of luck.
wieght watchers. i have a coworker that did it to lose her last 25 pounds. she has kept it off and is doing great. you could always talk to your doctor and meet up with a nutrionist if you do not want to go the weight watchers route.
Hi
I used weight watchers and it worked Great! They have a terriffic progarm.
I lost 29 lbs BUT I allowed myself to gain alot of it back so am trying to lose again myself.
Good Luck
P.
I have lost 36 lbs on weight watchers. Just go to the first meeting and get the point book and i think you can do it your self. Eat to live don't live to eat. slow down and get a low fat cook book (library) and enjoy the food.
good luck

I purchased the Paul MeKenna book I can Make you thin and the hynosis cd that comes with it.
The biggest thing i got out of it is to actually slow down and "enjoy" your food. I found that i was actually full after 3 bites. Unfortunately i haven't followed through but that concept was profound to me.
I like the Walk A Way the Pounds DVD's with Leslie Sansone.
good luck
I used mummy magic tea after pregnancy and lost my weight greatly;)
Hi M.,
I too have been very successful doing Weight Watchers Online and by myself (40lb. weight loss in ~5 months). I've discovered that it's a great way to eat (and drink) what you want in moderation with weight loss success! I agree that the points calculator is a great tool, keeping a food journal is a must, and working in a little exercise is essential... Here's the site link if you are interested in checking it out:

Good luck!
