Mary Kay's Extra Emolient Night Cream! It stays on for up to 5 washings!!! It's AMAZING! Works GREAT for diaper rash too :) Just send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to send you a sample of it :)
I wash my hands a million times a day and my hands look SO old! I'm only 31 but my hands look much older. I've tried tons of lotions but they don't seem to help. Can anyone recommend anything good that works? I'm a germaphobe so washing is more than necessary several times a day. Thanks so much!! I'm willing to try anything! Oh, and where to get it too, please?

That is not a Weird Question at all. Arbonne has the best hand creams I have ever used. My husbands hands have always been like sand paper but now that we only use Arbonne products from head to toe he gets no complaints from me. I am sending a private message with my info.

Neutrogena makes a good hand lotion. I used it religiously right after my son was born. Between washing my hands, washing breast pump parts, washing bottles, and cold winter weather, my hands were in awful shape!
Renew! There is lotion and hand wash and both are incredible.
I use the Gold Bond lotion. I am the same with washing hands frequently and can feel my hands almost burning b/c of dryness. Gold Bond also has a hand sanitzer too that I like.
Vaseline it feels greasy at first but not for long and is cheap. After doing childcare for 20 years I know what you mean about older looking hands. I tried everything and I have always comed back to vaseline.

The only thing that has ever worked for me when my hands got like this was Mary Kay's Satin Hands. It will moisturize your hands and make them look younger. My sister in law is a consultant if you would like to talk to her. She may even have another suggestion other then the Satin Hands. Her name is Carol and her number is ###-###-####
Cetaphil Cream is awesome! Make sure it's the cream though not lotion. My daughter has a touch of eczema and she said that the lotions aren't made to really stick to skin because the are water based, but that the creams are more effective.
Aveeno products work well for my family. Whether we're using the lotions or the body wash....love their products.
& I have used Aquaphor, Cetaphil, Eucerin, & many others. Aveeno is my current fav.
Ooops, one more: not sure of the name, but it's available at Body & Bath. It's a beeswax emollient, comes in a little decorative tin......I slather it on at bedtime to help soften my callouses & cuticles. It works wonders! But is very oily to the touch....still love it, tho' !
Eucerin. Get it at any drug store, grocery store, or Target.
Also good: Udder Cream, Vaseline Intensive Care, Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream.
Actually, I've heard that extra virgin olive oil is the best thing for dry skin! I know it sounds odd, but it's supposed to be great. Just rub it into your skin like it's baby oil. it's much purer and is supposed to work better than baby oil or any other lotion. And there are no weird chemicals to worry about.
I've used Gold Bond (Extra Strength) lotion in the green bottle and once a week, the Mary Kay Satin Hands collection for a long time. My husband and I both work as mechanics at work and at home. I too wash my hands like crazy because of the grease and grime and the kids (germy germs) and diaper changes and going to the restroom and people at work touching my stuff and I know they don't wash properly (blech) and cleaning the house and cooking dinner and baking... Anywho, I have used the Mary Kay Satin Hands on my husband too. He loves it. (shhhh...) : )
Okay so this may sound weird but it works GREAT! The feed stores (Big R in particular) have a loation called "working hands" or something along those lines. It is in a bright green tube or tub.
It works so well, works for a long time and really helps hands look better. It isn't very expensive at all and it's nice and thick. It helped my husbands hand heal perfectly after a surface burn (I had to make him, but it kept the skin soft so it could heal, he does construction so thats a tall order when you handle wood all day, it sucks the moisture right out!). And I use it a lot to keep my hands soft, I handle things all day long and it just sucks the moisture out, then my hands split....ooww!
I really like the stuff and it's worth a try seeing as it is affordable!
Eucerin works really good.
When I was pregnant I had a serious rash and some major dryness. My doctor recommended Eucerin or Aquaphor...they were good, but my cousin bought me Cetaphil lotion (the generic brand is Top Care) and if I tell you this stuff worked miracles on my hands! I also had really dry elbows and it cleared them right up. Good luck!
For me, I like Neutrogena Norwegian Formula (very thick, very effective) but in the winter and when I'm washing all the time, I keep a jar of Vaseline handy and use that a lot. It is the only thing that keeps my hands and nails looking nice and honestly before I started using it a lot my hands were always cracking and bleeding. My mom is a nurse and she also started using Corn Huskers Lotion because she was constantly washing and her hands were suffering. It is made for very roughly used hands and is pretty effective. If you can't stand the thought of Vaseline during the day, try caking it on before bed and get some sleeping gloves, or put it on with enough time to soak in before you go to sleep.
Avon Moisture Therapy. I've used it before bed every night for YEARS. It works great!!!
Aquaphor! Aquaphor! Aquaphor!
I have the same issue! Nothing has done the trick like Aquaphor, not even close.
According to our dermatologist, it really depends on the severity of the issue. My husband has alligator skin in the winter because he loses moisture in his hands so quickly, he uses hand sanitizer frequently (alcohol content is very drying) and washes his hands constantly.
The dermatologist recommended using Aquaphor at night with gloves on top to keep the moisture in and prevent a mess. You can purchase gloves at places like Bath and Body Works that are designed for it. It makes a huge different.
We also love Kiehl's hand salve and Vanicream at bedtime as well as it's a good, thick, dermatologist recommended lotion.

First of all, I don't think your question is wierd. Anyway.... I love a lotion called Miracle Hand Repair/Miracle of Aloe. It doesn't sting on my cracked hands like others that I've tried. It says it's safe for diabetics (in case that's important to you). It has 60% aloe. I sells for $10 at Bed Bath & Beyond. (I use the 20% off coupons on everything in that store, so it comes to only $8. It comes in an 8 oz. tube. (I think Walmart might sell it too- not sure if Texas has Bed, Bath and Beyond.)

You've got to try Renew Dry Skin therapy. They carry lotion, bath wash, hand wash, purse size and value size. Watch out for many of the brands out at the grocery stores & retail stores- read the labels and look into the side effects that they cause. Their moisturizers will leave a film but not really penetrate and prevent the problem from getting worse. Renew will heal, protect and prevent from future issues and it won't have a heavy odor of flowers, oils or fruits.
I'd be happy to get you more info on where to get it because it is also delivered to you home.

Ahava is awesome. My husband bought it for me years ago when he was on a trip overseas and I use nothing else. It's now available in the states and has been for a few years. The only chain store I can think of is Bath & Body Works. It's expensive but totally worth it. I put it on before I go to bed and wake up with soft hands. I totally understand about all the handwashing. I used to work in the animal field and my hands would crack and bleed during the winter because I washed them so much but the Ahava works wonders for me.
i like the high end, bed bath and beyond stuff, but another one i love is called udder cream, it was originally formulated for cow udders, lol, alba organics has a very good one specifically for dry skin, it specifies extra emmoliants ....sp
i keep lotion in every room and apply it like it were my religion, its an investment that does pay off
Hi.. I LOVE Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve. I always have a tube in my purse & at my desk. It has a nice subtle scent. You can buy it at any Kiehl's shop, kiehls.com or at Nordstroms!
moisture therapy from avon - hand cream for extra dry skin It works wonders. I am a nurse and have to wash often and it is great for my hands.
