Hi, We are relocating to Carlsbad and currently have AT&T cellular. How is their coverage there from you experience? One of our cell phones just broke last night, so we have to go get another w/a new 2 yr contract, and want to be sure AT&T/Cingular is a good choice for North San Diego County.

You know, I have had Cingular/At&T for a while now and I live on Camp Pendleton and my coverage is really good. We travel down to Carlsbad frequently and my coverage is still good.
Do you live close to the area so you could possibly head down ther and test your cell phone?
Well, I think personally, that AT&T has the best coverage anywhere, but that's my opinnion :).
I have had cingular ( currently the new At&T ) for about 10yrs now and they now have even more coverage since becoming At&T. We are on the family plan which includes 5 phones all of my family members say our phone coverage is great. My husband has a company cell phone who is through Nextel/sprint and he always has problems with dropped calls. Sometimes we just can't get a hold of him... Not Good...
I have AT&T and it works good, don't live on the coast, but I do live in Escondido (North County).

Try Verizon. We used to have Sprint and coverage was great in town but not so good outside of town. We switched to Verizon and it's awesome: hubby has been working the fires and his cell is working but the FD cell (Nextel) is not.
