I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas of what to do with the pile of Christmas cards? Maybe a place that collects them for charity?
Thanks for your input :)

My family uses the front of the cards to make gift tags for next year. (I can tell you how if you need more info, just send me a msg.)
For the picture cards, we take the ones of our kids "friends" and cut out the pic, glue it to posterboard, then put the names of the kids (oldest to youngest) underneath. This has allowed my children to remember everyone's names AND (more importantly) to see who is "family".
I came up with this idea after our group of college friends got together and my 2 yr old couldn't keep all the kids straight...who was who's brother? what's her name again? Since we always take "group pictures" I had a hard time explaining who was in which "family".
We put the posterboard up in their playroom (used to be at the changing table). The kids love looking at their friends. And the next time we all get together mine are the only kids who know EVERYONE's name!
The pictures, I make a collage out of them and put them in a scrapebook. I was teacher before children and I would cut the front of the cards and make some sort of art project with them (since I was in a public school they couldn't be too religious). Maybe ask a primary or early childhood teacher.
my kids like to make bookmarks and christmas cut outs with them.
I make family place mats for our everyday meals. I put the cards in a plastic bag and save them until the decorations come down the following Christmas holiday. (You could do it right away but I think it is a fun thing to kick off the holiday season) First I take a piece of poster board and cut to the right size. Next I write our names on them really cute. Then I make a collage out of last years cards and glue it all down. Finally, I take them to Kinko's to be laminated. They wipe clean really easy. It is a cheap and fun for the family. My daughter is still young but as she gets older I plan on having her help me.
I have cut off the parts with the signature and use the other parts like postcards.
I tear them in half saving the first page of the card discarding the inside printed words. The cute greeting card pictures are great for cut and glue craft projects especially on a cold and/or snowy day next holiday season. Pack them with your holiday decorations.
I have a friend who saves the front half for gift tags the following year. We were discussing this subject on another board, and someone had returned an old picture card to the family after many years of keeping it. The family was thrilled, as they had had a fire and lost all their pictures.
