Those of you with kids 11-14 months old, can you tell me what your child typically eats in a day?

My daughter is about to turn 1 year on Halloween.I am wondering how to start transitioning her to eating (as opposed to drinking) her meals. I have been giving her breastmilk in a bottle since she was born and she has never been a big fan of milk. In fact, that is why she is so far behind in eating solids (the doctor kept recommending that we wait so she would drink more milk). As of last week, I've started giving her yogurt for breakfast, baby food for lunch & baby food for dinner plus bottles in between. I'm not sure how much milk she should still be getting?
With my son, I feel like by 14 months he was eating regular food cut up and to be honest she would LOVE that. She definitely shows interest in eating regular food.

So, I would love other mommies with kids this age to tell me what your child eats in a typical day, especially including the amount of milk.

Thanks for your help!

By 12 months mine were eating cut up versions of just about whatever was on our plate. If you're worried about texture, get the babyfood jars of diced carrots. green beans, etc. Tho it may be cheaper to get cans of the "no salt added" vegetables. I think Libby's makes a "naturals" line that is just vegetables and water. Peas, cooked diced carrots, pasta, shredded chicken, cheerios, mac n cheese, diced pears, peaches, or ripe mango (these are usually softer than apples - mine choked on apples), steamed broccoli or asparagus tips, mashed potatoes...

I think milk requirements at a year drop to about 12 oz a day, but don't take me to the bank on that. It could still be 20 oz. I do remember that it seems like a one yr old hardly eats anything. About 3 tablespoons of food makes a "meal" then they come back for more in about 2 hours. Due to the nature to graze, we offered 3 meals and 2 snacks.

My little one is a little younger than your child. My daughter will be 11 months on Nov. 25th.

Breakfast: yogurt and 4 oz bottle
snack: 6 oz bottle
Lunch: stage 3 jar of food or make her food, and 4 oz bottle
Snack: 6 oz bottle w/puffs, crunchies or baby mum mum
Dinner: cereal w/fruit and 4 oz bottle.

My son is 14 months old and we give him whole milk from a sippy cup with each meal. He won't let us feed him, so we give him foods he can easily eat with his hands:

-string cheese cut in wheel shapes
-cucumber slices in raspberry vinagerettes or ranch
-Cheerios with a little milk
-diced veggies (I buy them frozen and cook it and keep it in the fridge and reheat as needed)
-bananas with very little peanut butter spread
-he LOVES black plums (soft, juicy, cold)
-blackberries, cherries
-red beets
-cooked, softened brocolli with cheese
-baked chicken
-quesadillas (cream cheese & cheddar)
-grilled cheese sandwiches
-waffles with fruit preserves (raspberries, strawberries)

Then, he just eats whatever we eat but I cut it or slice it so that he can eat it easily... if you make your food spicy, just set his food aside before you add the spices. We stopped buying baby food and only give him Gerber snacks when traveling... We also give him his veggies 1st so that he'll load up on that... We just give him milk with meals, not a specified amount because we want him to eat more veggies...

hope this helps a little...

Our pediatrician recommended that by 12 months, kids have:
1) 3 - 5 milk feedings (if breastfed. I think it was 3-4 formula)
2) 3 meals of solids (this doesn't have to be much)
3) 2 snacks

My son is 10 months old and has milk 4 times a day, meals (yogurt, baby food, steamed veggies) 2 - 3 times a day and snacks (a handful of cheerios)1 - 2 times a day.
