What Time to You Go to Sleep Most Evenings?

I do not like the cold weather here in the winter. Therefore, I was going to bed at 9:30 pm in January and February !

Once it gets warmer, I will stay up until 10pm or 10:15pm (Like tonight).
I can't stay up until 10:30 or 11pm anymore - like I did when I was in my 20's.
If I do, I am exhausted the next day !

I was just curious what time you all go to sleep.

What can I do next?

Earliest? 11:00
Week nights-latest? About 12:30.
Depends what I'm doing & what's going on.
I've been known to do 3 loads of laundry after everyone else is sleeping.
Just depends.

Weekends--about the same times.
I'm usually up by 6:30 or 7:00 whether I'm working or off.

Apparently, at 49, I don't need sleep anymore! Haha...

I usually go to bed around midnight or later. The past few weeks I was sick, so I was going to bed about 10. I don't get up until 7, so that is usually plenty of sleep for me.

I wish I went to sleep at 10 but I end up going to sleep around 12:30. I feel my best at night. I am awake, happy, productive etc. I enjoy putzing around. Yet staying up late makes me super tired during the day. It's a bad cycle. Then again even if I go to bed at 10 I am super tired the next day. I am super tired during the day all the time and feel great at night - weird or vampire? you decide LOL

I typically turn out the light around 10:30... no later than 11 pm.... I need to be REALLY tired to fall asleep quickly......

And I am out of bed usually around 6 am....

btw.. I'm 55, and my kids are grown.

I'm a morning person and usually wake on my own without an alarm clock.

Unfortunately, I frequently wake earlier and can't get back to sleep, usually because my left arm hurts or is asleep..... (or my right hip hurts...)

There are times when it really is the pits getting older!

I go to bed usually between 12 -1:00 up at 6:00. See my oldest off to school. Then I ride my exercise bike for 1 hour. Then I get my youngest off to school and I take a 1-2 hour nap. I am a night owl:)

I usually head to bed at 11:00pm, about an hour after my kids go to bed. Once in bed I generally read or watch tv until about midnight so I can get up at 7:00am.

Speaking of cold weather we are getting another cold snap. It will be -29 and we are getting another 25cm of snow tonight.

If I am really lucky I will fall asleep before 2:15 am....there are no babies or snoring husbands to cause this. I just don't sleep. I'm always up before 6 am and seem to do just fine with less than four hours.

We did have an amazing time this past fall when I was laid off so what do I do when I'm laid off...I book a trip to Hawaii!! I did have three phone interviews there (easy peasy) and it was the most comforting sleep EVER! We had no schedule , wish I could replicate this now!

I go to sleep much too late (midnight) and wake up a few times per night to comfort our youngest (light sleeper). Get up before 7 each morning. It's exhausting being a mid-40s mom with young kids. My grandmother always told me "don't get old!" but unfortunately we don't have a choice. Lol.
"I'll sleep when I'm dead" is the quote I live by.

It really depends...

During snowboard season...
7pm. Same as my son
Up at 4am.

The rest of the year, all things being equal...
2am.
Up at 8am.

Whenever my son is sick (respiratory issues)
5am.
Up at 9am.

________
My son goes to bed between 7pm & 11pm depending on the season.
Fall/Spring = 9pm
Winter = 7pm
Summer = 11pm (it gets dark at 10)

Up until a few months ago, it was usually until 12 or 1, but recently I've been crashing on the couch by 10:30 or 11.

I am hoping to eventually get myself a stable 10pm bedtime, but that'd give me only a few minutes with my husband each day.

I am an early bird! I didn't used to be, but since I had surgery in October I've been going to bed early. Some nights I barely make it to 8pm! I beat my kids to bed!

Normally though (prior to surgery), I would go to bed between 10 and 11. I'm up at 530 to leave the house by 615. I get home to get the kids at 345, and then we are sometimes gone until 8pm (long dance nights). Football and baseball are starting this week, so it makes for LONG weeks when I'm being run in 3 different directions. I guess that explains why I get tired so early.

I remember the good old days of my 20s where 5 hours was fine. Power nap after work and before the bars kept me up till 4!

Now, If I go to bed after 11:30, I can't wake up. I should go to sleep at 10 but I am a night owl - I get a second wind at about 9. So most nights, I watch the first 10 minutes of the news (after the weather, I'm out).

If I go to sleep before 11:00, I have a terrible night. I wake up a lot and just generally do not get a good rest. So, I go to sleep between 11:00 - 11:30; get up at 6:45 fully rested on most days. I do take one unisom tablet at night. That helps me be able to get back to sleep if the night sweats wake me up! Hubby will go to bed sometimes around 9:30 - 10:00. I envy him - I wish I could go to bed early but it just doesn't work for me.

I go to bed no later than 11pm but I don't fall asleep until much later. Typically I'm functioning off of 4-5 hours of extremely broken sleep. There are some nights during the week when I'm in bed at 9pm but of course that doesn't mean anything.

I happen to be in love with my mattress/bed so I prefer to hang out in there once the day has dwindled and my children are in bed as it is the most comfortable space in the whole house.
