Hello Ladies!
Well I posted a "fun" question a while ago and got a great response, so I thought I would try again - this one is related to Christmas gift ideas for our little ones. I noticed that people are often on here looking for good gift ideas for a certain age group and thought that perhaps we could gather all the suggestions in one request.

What toys/books/other gift ideas do you have for your children this year? What good toys/books/other gifts have your children received in years past that were successful? Along with that what is the approximate price range and for what age group?

One of the biggest hits for our two boys has been the Step 2 train table... it goes for around $100, although I believe we purchased it for around $80 through Wal-Mart's website. It was their big Christmas gift last year (when they were 2 1/2 & just over 1) and they have loved it every day since then! We've paired that with the Thomas trains which they also love!

Another great set of toys is anything Little People by Fisher Price... my boys are starting to really develop their imaginations and these toys are great helpers for that!

As for books, I just recently purchased "Big Words for Little People" by Jamie Lee Curtis and I love it! My oldeset son (almost 3 1/2), especially enjoys this book for the very colorful artwork, but also for the big words that he is learning.

Have fun with your suggestions! :)

I have a 22-month-old boy and a 3-1/2 year old daughter.
My daughter is getting the Fisher-Price Smart Cycle from my parents for Christmas. We live in the midwest, so winters are tough for us! We think that the Smart Cycle will be a good way for her to work out her energy indoors. We'll see :) Other smaller things she'll be getting are dress-up clothes (anything Disney Princess) and I think we'll be getting her a Bitty Baby or a knockoff ;) For her birthday in May we got her the coolest book from Shutterfly.com. You upload a picture of your child's face straight on and Shutterfly will incorporate it throughout the book, also using your child's name and several other details about his/her life. The one we got Ashlyn was Dora and it's called "Ashlyn and Dora's Rescue Adventure". She thinks it's the coolest thing ever!
My son will be getting Black & Decker Jr. power tools. He loves "helping" Dad with any project that requires tools! He may also be getting a Radio Flyer "My First Scooter" 3-wheeled scooter. And then anything having to do with trucks is a big hit with this kid :) Something he's gotten in the past that have been and continue to be a BIG hit are the Tonka trucks that are made of soft plastic. They come in large (about 8-10 inches and they make noises), medium (about 4ish inches) and small (1-2 inches and my personal fave because they're so easy to throw in my purse to pull out for instant entertainment).

Well, it is a bit older for our son, but he is such a fan of Wall-E now. We plan to get him the lovable robot at Toy-r-us (around $60). He has another version currently and is Very Good with it for being four. I also would like to get him EVE to go with his current Wall-E to have them communicate with each other. I know he will be in LOVE with the programmable robot when he receives it! Also considering the Crayola art products (a few that light up as he loves this type of stuff.). Cars always go over big with him as does anything for his Leap pad.

On our list this year is to recieve EXPERIENCES!
We would like a Gymnastics class and a trip to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for their Tiny Tots Program.

We have lots of toys and enough clothes. So I figured why not do something they can learn from and enjoy and not fill your house with more stuff!
