I have been giving my son YoBaby for about a month now. He is eight months old. He hasn't had any problems with it. I didn't ask my doctor first, I just thought I would give it a try since he has done great with all his other baby foods.
I was wondering if anyone remembers when I can introduce the baby yogurts? My son is 7 1/2 months old and devoirs anything I put in front of him. I know there is special yogurt for babies but the package says to talk to your doctor about when to introduce. . . We don't go back for another couple of months so I thought I'd ask y'all! Thanks!

I love that Yobaby yogurt is completely organic. I buy it for my 3yr old. I've given my 5mo old a few tastes, but not really "feeding" it to him yet. Babies digest yogurt better than milk because of the natural bacteria in it.
I started my kids on solid foods anywhere between 3 and 4 months. the pediatrician said they don't get much nutritional value out of it but it will console them and help them sleep longer throughout the night.
9 months is what we were told(mine are only 17.5 mo apart and I still had to call and ask!) Yo baby is full fat and my first loved it, getting ready to start the second on it as well! They carry it most places now so it's pretty easy to find!
hi N., i would say as long as your baby doesnt have a milk allergy go for it. i watch a little girl and her mom just bought the regular kind(A and E,and the gogurts, plain at first and then moved her up to the kind with fruit in it. hope this helps and good luck.
for your 41/2 year old, painting finger paints or regular, puzzles, my daughter is 3 and she likes to take a piece of paper and just cut with scissors. she's getting better at using them. also just drawing and showing her how to use a pencil. with the paper and scissors you can start drawing circles and squares on them, zig zag lines things like this. unless she already knows how to use them. also glueing and useing only 1 drop of glue. and just get different shapes of noodles for her to glue on paper. hope this helps you, mom of 4 and home child care provider.
We just went to the doctor and he said give them yogurt starting at 8 months. Also, to start with just plain yogurt and no strawberries until they are 15 months.

I started my baby on this yogurt just before 7 months & he is doing great. I give him all of the flavors. He'll eat anything & does well with everything.
My doctor told me to wait until he is a year old because it has milk in it.
I gave my daughter yogurt when I started feeding her baby food. She loved it and it kept her full longer!!! I don't remember when it was but I think it was around the age your baby is now.
I never did the YO baby yogurt, I just bought the kids yogurt yoplait, I say as long as they dont have a dairy allergy it will be ok to give them yogurt, I think my son was about 9months when i gave it to him. He loves yogurt, and milk. Every kid is different tho, so use ur better judgement.
Hope that helps

www.wholesomebabyfoods.com has a chart you can look at as to when to introduce what solids.
He should be just fine with yobaby now, but you might want to mix it half and half with plain full-fat yogurt, so he doesn't get so much sugar. Or just give him plain full-fat yogurt with mashed banana for sweetness- that's what I did and my dtr love it!
Yes, go ahead and give the yogart. I would stick with YoBaby yogart or somehting similar that has full-fat or whole milk in it. And because it's yogart and they do whatever they do to it; it's easier for babies to digest them giving them straight milk. I think they do have YoBaby with half cereal in it as well. Good luck and happy eating!!
We were given a bunch of the baby food yogarts adn deserts and we still havent given them to our eleven month old daughter. They have a lot of sugar in them... and if your child drinks juice at all he is probably getting enough sugar from that alone... We arent going to introduce any of the deserts or yogarts until after her first birthday and still then we will moniter her sugar intake. A baby loaded up on sugar is not a good idea...
N..... my doctor reccommended yogurt for my 7 1/2 month old when he was 6 mo. to ensure that he had the acidopholous needed to protect from common baby yeast infections.....even boys!!
