Hello! I have a quick question. I am on my third round of Clomid this month & praying for our third baby this month!! Every since I have started taking the Clomid I get my period every three weeks. So here is my question...Can I test the day I have been starting which is three weeks after my last period. Or should I wait until four weeks still?? I am kind of a testaholic so I probley will test on the 16th, but is it possible that it wouldn't show up until four weeks after my period on the 23rd?? And..what early pregnancy test would you recommend?

What can I do next?

Wait til the 4th week at least, and I have always found success in using the digital Clear Blue tests. The First response test with the lines are worthless. Good Luck!

Every three weeks? Really??

I would wait until the 4th week to test. I always used EPT. They sometimes have 3 tests for the price of 2.

I used the tests from The Dollar Tree-allowed me to be a test-a-holic & not feel bad about spending $7-$8. A couple times, I even got a bonus when there were 2 tests in the box, lol. When I did get a positive, I went to CVS and bought a name brand digital test just to confirm. Also, the dollar tree tests must be pretty sensitive as I was testing every few days (my cycles are 30-50 days, extremely irregular), and it picked up the pregnancy when i was in my 3rd week (v** ultra sound 2-3 weeks later confirmed I was 6 weeks-had to do u/s to get due date since I am soooo irregular-according to my cycle, I should have been 9 weeks!)...good luck!

I think you could possibly get a pos on the day you were supposed to start. Also the Dollar Tree has $1 tests( behind the check out) that are really very senstive and cost effective for those who are POS-aholics, ;) good luck! I would jsut not recommend the blue test with the lines they are FAR less sensitive than the others, and the digis are actually not very sensitive either.

Ept definatly and don't test till the day your suppose to start if it comes out negative wait three to four days and test a gain and youmay have to test one more time to make sure unless your period starts also with ept. The slightest Plus is a positive.

I would wait til your at least a week late. I recommend the digital Clear Blue tests. The First Response are crappy ones and so are the EPT. With two of my pregnancies I used those two and they would say negative so I would go by the more expensive digital and they would always say prego. My sis was a week late when she took her first few test that were the EPT recently. She took each one a diff day and they all said negative so she went to buy the digital took it in the middle of the day it came up prego. Your better off spending a little more money for the digital so your not spending so much on ones that dont work.

hmm Every 3 weeks seems a little strange unless you do not have your period for long. You need to be a minimum of 9 DPO (days past ovulation). Implantation can happen up to around 12-14 DPO. It really depends on your cycle. You might want to try buying a basal thermometer and take your temp every morning at the same time and then use a charting website like Fertility Friend. It is free. They can also tell you approximately when you Ovulated. They suggest 2 weeks after Ovulation to allow for implantation. So if you Ovulated on Day 7 you should be able to test on day 21. I hope that helps. Good Luck.

As for tests. I have used everything in the book. With my first Pregnancy I used an Clearblue digital that said negative on the day my period was due and used a First Response 3 days later and it turned up Preggo almost immediately. It really all depends on when ovulation was. With my other pregnancies I have used the Equate, Target Brand, CVS brand, and a few other cheap brands and they all turned up positive. In fact when I was preggo with my last baby I took a cheap test 5 days early and it showed up positive. Good Luck!

With both of my kids, I got positive preg tests at 10DPO. I used the generic CVS tests with no problems.

Not sure how Clomid works, or if you have an idea of when you're ovulating. But that's what I would go by.
