Where Do You Hear About Events for Kids?

My friend and I were talking and we both feel like we are always "out of the loop" when it comes to events for kids. I always seem to hear after they are over. Does anyone know of websites, etc. that helps you keep on top of local events? Thanks.

Hi Beht,

There's a great free guide that comes out every season with
tons of listings. It's called Oaklees Guide. It's online but
only as an informational website. The actual listings are only
available through the publication itself. It lists events by area and by type of event. Fall is my favorite because it lists all the pumpkin patches and spooky things around town from Chicago to the burbs.

This website will also tell you where you can pick up a copy
near your home. It's usually at our library, our park districts, some retail businesses and it's FREE!!! We use
it every season for things to do with our little one!

Enjoy,
Judy

What kind of events are you interested in? When it comes to Disney on ice, etc, I just check ticketmaster periodically http://www.ticketmaster.com/kidsguide07. They're good about sending you updates.

You can sign up for all sorts of websites that will send you alerts and notices.

Chicagoparrkdistrict.com and a free magazine called Parent Chicago or something like that. It's always at the Doctor's office and kid's places.

Have fun!

I don't know if this will help, but Disney Princesses on Ice is coming to Columbus Jan 19th-23rd at that Nationwide Area. I remember when I was about 8 years old, my parents took my sister and I to a Disney on Ice for our birthdays. We had horrible seats because my parents couldn't afford too much - I'm talking 2nd row from the VERY back. Still, I thought it was the coolest thing ever! Anyways, there's a discount code too... just enter: MOM at checkout when you use this link: http://www.ticketmaster.com/promo/xu3cyz
