Where Is a Stroller Friendly Trail near Portland with No Fee?

Cook Park is a good option in the Tigard area. It's not too far from the Carman Drive exit on I-5. There's lots of trails along the Tualatin river and at least two playgrounds. Trails are now connected to Tualatin where there are more playgrounds or you can go into town to the shopping areas where you can stop for a coffee. Let me know if you want more clear directions as I live in the area.

Parts of Tryon park near Lewis & Clark college are also paved and nice for walking.

We really enjoy powel butte and you can take a stroller or a wagon up to problem. It is switch back and has an incline of note... but with a stroller it is paved and then gravel in places and the trails are used by bikes no problem. There are picnic benches at the top with a great view of 3-5 volcanoes on a good day. If you go off into the "woodsy" trails watch for horse droppings though as horses can use some trails. Still, a nice paved path for an east side park.

The Nature Park in Beaverton on Milikan has paved paths. It's open and free anytime of the day. This is through a forested area so it's a good 10 degrees cooler in there on hot days.

Also there is a path from all along the waterfront you can use. I can't recall the name of the path but it runs from Oaks Park north to OMSI along the East Esplanade and then you can cross on the lower level of the Steel Bridge to the west side and continue down to Waterfront Park. That is a long walk but you could do any portion of that.

Another is one that starts at Hwy 217 and Denny on the west side of 217. It's called the Fanno-Greenway Loop. A link to the map is http://www.thprd.org/pdfs/document46.pdf. It is paved from Denny south to Scholls Ferry and even crosses under Scholls Ferry into Tigard. There are playgrounds along the way and open space.

I'd recommend checking out Portland Parks and Rec's Park Finder. Check the box for the paved paths and then just click on the parks and take a look, see what appeals to you.

Westmoreland is a large park, paved and unpaved, with water features, bridges, and ducks. I believe on-street parking near the park is free (in the neighborhood).

Gabriel Park in SW Portland has paved pathways, is huge, and parking is free.

It has several beautiful nature trails that are stroller accessible and a great playground at the top of he hill. Very nice for hiking and very centrally located.
