I love TARGET clothes for the 3.5 yr old! My son will not wear anything with zippers or buttons. They have cute pants that look nice (instead of wearing sweat pants all the time!) - even jeans and he totally wears them! We are basic so I get the tan, black, brown, blue and jeans they also sell the ones that have the soft lining for the colder weather.

Hi R.,
My son is 5 and in kindergarten, and he HATES buttons, snaps and zippers. If you want athletic pants, you can go to Target, Gymboree, GapKids, etc. But the only "normal-looking" twill pull-on pants I found are from Land's End. The denim jeans have an all-around elastic waist that's easy for my son. The clothes I've bought from Land's End (either online or in the store, which is inside some Sears stores) have been excellent quality.
Good luck!

My daughter only wears pull-on pants. The buckle/snap kind don't ever fit her right. We have great luck at Old Navy and The Children's Place.

Kohls has a brand called Jumping Beans. They have pull on pants from infants on up to like kids Size 7 and maybe even larger. Both my boys wear them. They have all different fabrics - windpants, jersey, fleece, some denim etc. My 8 yr old has worn them since he was a baby, and now my 19 month wears them too. They have seemed to hold up very well too and are rather inexpensive and typically always on sale.

Old Navy.
www.oldnavy.com
They have lots of sales now.
They have elastic waist pants... with adjustable tabs on it.
That is where I get all my kids pants... pull on types.

Just read the description on the pants... and it will say "adjustable waist" etc.

Here are the links for Old Navy boys pants in size 5T:

Old Navy has pants with elastic adjustments in the sides. They snap and zip but you can pull them off and on without unsnapping and unzipping.

Kohls (Jumping Beans), Sears and Kmart have reasonably priced pull on pants/jeans. Kmart is a slightly roomier cut and go up to 5T (which fits my big for his age almost 5 year old son well). Children's Place has some nice looking pull on carpenter pants for bigger boys (size 4 and up). They are a bit more expensive but they look nice, are soft fabric and wear very well. Check for a sale or an outlet store (a sale at the outlet and you get very good prices but 20% off coupons are pretty common).
