Have any of you used Stellure or any of the other online sites to decide how a hair cut looks?

I HAVE to cut my hair. It is very thick and long enought to donate a 10" ponytail an still be considered long. And since I am pregnant having long hot heavy hair this summer is not a viable option.

So really 2 questions - the first is above, the second - if you had long hiar during the hot summer while pregnant what did you do to stay cool?

Thanks folks!

What can I do next?

I have not used any of those sites to upload my picture for one main reason. Even if the hairstylist cuts my hair the same shape/style as int he picture, it won't look the exact same because my hair is a different texture and thickness than the sample photo. If the picture had my own face, then I would be severely disappointed that I didn't come out of the chair looking the same way. With a picture of a certain hairstyle on a different person, it is easier to comprehend that I don't look exactly like the photo. If you have the kind of hair that can do anything, then it might be a good choice for you though.

I always keep my hair shorter, even when I am not pregnant, but I definitely kept up with the cut more when I was pregnant because I could not stand having hair on my neck . . . way too hot! If you really like your longer hair, I would look up some fun updos that you can do to keep your hair off of your neck. I know there are lots of neat braids that you can learn to do.

I find when your hot, your hot long hair or not. I had one beautician tell me she would leave my hair long enough to put into a pony tail to keep me cool in the summer....I thought she was nuts, but she's right. It's easier to pull it up when it's longer than when it's shorter. I also find the back of the neck gets sunburn easier when I have short hair, so the best way I've found to keep cool is to put a cool damp towel/paper towel on the back of my neck. I learned that trick from a French Canadian. Now, I've got the whole family walking around with cool towels hanging arount thier necks. We even put them in a baggie in the fridge, to change the towels easier. Hubby loves it when he's working outside, because he can use it to wipe the sweat from his brow. Guess I got to get more cheap hand towels... I think this summer's going to be hot.

I played with the in style hair cut thing once. I didn't really like my picture I uploaded, though, so I never used it with my stylist. But I don't freak out about my hair cut (color, yes, cut, no) because it will always grow out and I can try another cut later, etc.

I always had short, stacked hair when pregnant.
