Southwest has pretty good fares. And when I've flown with them, they've been really friendly. Another is JetBlue- their customer service is excellent!

Like the previous responses, Southwest is usually the cheapest but there is no assigned seating. Although if you are flying with children, I believe you get to preboard, which is really nice.

Hi Holly,

I fly to Las Vegas frequently and I find that no airlines prices can beat Southwest. Sometimes I get a rate of $79 each way. Go to www.southwest.com. Good Luck

We just went to Vegas with our children, and we always fly Southwest. Average ticket is $300 roundtrip, but we found a deal as low as $99/one way. Go to their website www.southwest.com and what for their specials.

Hi Holly,

Southwest is a good recommendation if you are looking for only flights. If you are looking for the package, hotel and flight, I recommend travelocity.com. It will break it down for you. I just bought my Vegas tickets from travelocity and thought they had a really good deal with hotel included.

Southwest especially if you travel mid-week.

Have you tried JetBlue? Their flights are quite reasonable.

I always use southwest.

Before we went, I went on the internet and printed out quite a few coupons; buy one get one free show tickets, dinners, etc. Just check the websites for a couple of the hotels in the area or for your favorite shows.

We used this company and were very happy with their service. They will even deliver to your hotel!

If you wait until you arrive in Vegas, the clubs will be charging $30-$40 at the door and you will have to wait in a long line to get in.

I have a lot of luck with Southwest Airlines which flies out of Midway, Chicago. Our family uses it a lot to fly in and out of California to Chicago. Vegas is one of the stops. You didn't mention where you are flying out of.

You can easily research using Expedia, Cheap Flights, etc,. You can split the info on the screen and compare prices.
The time of day and the day of the week, even the time of year will effect prices. The sooner you book the cheaper it is too.You want to plan you trip at least a month in advance to get cheap prices.

Also, will your child be using a car seat (which you must provide)? That will mean a seat for the baby as well...which is safer.

A lot to think about I know, but if you do it often enough you'll get good at it.

We flew to California in March, now we are going to Texas in June for under $470.00 round trip. That is with taxes. You will probably be staying with the folks so hotel and car won't be needed.

By the way, Midway IS IN A GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD! It is all upper middle class. Teachers (like myself), cops, fireman, and other City workers live here to stay in a very safe part of the city and still stay within the city limits.

Happy travels!
